Outsourcing Content - Oh Woe is Me (Lol kidding).

So I got this email from a guru. Can't remember who it was, even though I knew his name id rather not give him any credit! Just kidding, honest!

Anyways...

Making a long story short.

I tried a outsourcing site called IWriter. My first couple articles were of mixed results, but most of them where pretty bad. Has anyone else here had experience with IWriter? If so...

Do you have a specific writer there that does it for you? I would like to get his name so that I can hire him/her in the future.

Thank you. I'll take a look at it when I wake up.

Since there's a lack of review's for IWriter. Can anyone else recommend more content writing service for me? Your help is very much appreciated!

Hey Tor86, I've Re-opened my writing service for a limited time. Offering a special rate here on this forum, check my signature below if you're interested.

Personally I've had good experiences hiring from oDesk.com. Just make sure you ask the right questions in the interview stage. And ask for work samples and references. I actually wrote an article about hiring on oDesk, you can read it here Get a Freelancer- 13 oDesk Hiring Tips.

Here's another site where you can hire good writers - BestJobs.ph

However, make sure you screen the applicants thoroughly and do some
    tests before you hire anybody.

I don't recommend Iwriter at all. I have had a few bad experiences there and I prefer to use writers from the Warrior Forum. Being someone that is on both sides of the outsourcing I know what I am getting in the Forum and there is a reputation that can be found within the posts on the Warrior for Hire ads. I would recommend finding a good writer here in the forum.

Hi Tor86 - did you get any samples from those writers before you hired them?

I highly recommend doing this no matter who you use, it's a simple thing to do but I think many people miss it and dive head first.

You can find quality people here, they're not the cheapest but they generally produce the best results.
Elance | Outsource to freelance professionals, experts, and consultants - Get work done on Elance

I've not tried these people before but they do specialise in writing content.
Freelance writing, freelance writer, ghost writer

I've used oDesk for writers with mixed results.
    http://odesk.com

Another place you could go are forums in the niche you're writing content for. What you could do is approach the most active people there and ask them if they would be interested in writing for you.

You'll find the people who write for you from forums already know the subject inside and out. They'll probably also write with more passion as it's a subject close their hearts. They might even be flattered to have been contacted by you to write for your website!

I would always hire a native English speaker, no matter where I went and get samples first (except from the forums where you read their posts as samples of their work).

    I hope this helps.

IWriter is really shady I must say, they really need to improve their system- The only reason why I tried it was because how simple, and easy it was to get something done. That is one thing they can improve upon, their rating system is not good enough.

Elance and Odesk is really expensive and complicated. Not sure I'm ready for that yet! Finding people on forums in the niches I'm in sounds allot easier, and cheaper if you ask me.

Sorry if I sound like a cheapskate, lazy bum. But I like things to be done easily possible, mewhaha!

Either way, thank you for your input Brian.

Well, you get what you pay for, so for $2.00 an article, you're not going to get much of anything.

Honestly, you're better off using a freelancer here or from a freelancing site.

I agree that price reflects what you get (What you pay for is what you get), but that is not allways the case!

    Hey,

I've personally not used IWriter, but from the reviews here doesn't sound too appealing... :S

However, here are some GOOD places that I've sourced writers from before:

    ODesk.com - as mentioned earlier.
OnlineJobs.ph - this is a Outsourcing Company based out in the Philippines.
Craiglist - it's always worth a look, I'm always browsing on there and have found some good help from there before.

NOTE: To always screen your writers before, asking for references, examples of their work and make sure they meet the grade before you take them on.

Now, I've saved the best till last... I have a close friend of mine who is a very good experienced writer with competitive rates, so if you're interested - PM me and I'll hook it up?

    Hope this helps,

    Colin
