MyBB Installed. What Kind Of Security Steps Should Be Taken?

I have installed MyBB to a website that I am working on so that I can setup a discussion forum. I have installed it all with 0 errors, deleted the original install folder, and created a solid login.

Are there any security steps that should be taken after you install MyBB?

Just wondering if it is secure as is or if I need to change permissions on folders or any other things. Do not want any of it to be hacked and deleted. Thank you.

Do some searches on google for security issues and plug-ins. phpBB and MyBB are pretty popular and leave a distinctive "footprint" so you will be targeted by spammers eventually.

Sorry I can't offer more specific help, but do take steps to secure it if nothing but a captcha form.
