What makes a good squeeze page?

Does a squeeze page full of nice graphics is considered good?

I have currently created a squeeze page,it does not have nice graphics but at least i think it is organized.

Here is my web

I don't intend to buy a nice squeeze page yet because i have spent quite a lot on membership sites and auto responder.

Good graphics and sale video will help..but I would make sure your offer is clear and you are selling a product that will help people, not selling yourself as an internet marketer.

      Thanks Naren,
I'm going to try the capture form above the fold on one of mine in particular, as currently it's quite low down, it converts but it's always worth trying to improve - it sounds logical.

      To Haruki92,
What Naren advises regarding 'writing appeal' I would have to agree, it simply doesn't inspire you to read further. Condensing into bullet points works. Also get a number of friends/family to have a look at it BUT don't tell them its yours! This is essential as they'll tell you the truth, you tell them it's yours and they'll be too kind.

I'm going to be honest, your squeeze page is far too long, when I started reading it, I actually thought it was a sales page with a BUY option at the end ;-)

Get another squeeze page that presents everything "above the fold" similar to this one:

They are proven to convert better. The english you are using lacks in writing appeal, which is no problem ...if you can condense your benefits into bullet points instead of sentences that will help conversions. Excite the reader and get them to opt in ASAP

P.S. Search the forum for FREE squeeze pages, there are so many flying around, catch one!

        Really, doubled conversions?
I'm definitely gonna get my form above the fold asap.
        Wish you well too buddy

        Wish you well

      Seconded, motion carried.

The rule of thumb is to make each part of your copy do one
job, and one job only (in this case get someone to trade their
      email for your freebie).

If you try to do to much, you will lose your reader
along the way and get no results.

here are few things I do and you should be doing, I get a squeeze conversion rate of 54% doing these things...

    1. Put your optin form above the fold. If your squeeze page is big put your form twice or even thrice, I put it 3 times in my squeeze page.

    2. Include ebook graphic, this helps.

    3. Put proof that you are successful in what you're trying to give them for free. It can be income, traffic screenshot or a video.

    4. Benefits work really good. Blend them with action words and tell them how they will feel once they achieve the benefits.

    5. Tell a short story, story telling is a big copywriting tactic, if used correctly can take your conversion to the next level.

    6. Give them proper privacy and anti-spam statement that you will not transfer, sell their email or spam them. Tell them they can unsubscribe anytime they wish with one click.

    Hope this helps...

yeah, it truely helps in boosting the squeeze page conversions, however 54% CR is without the video added to the squeeze page. If you go about adding the video the conversion should increase even more. Thank buddy for commenting...

I find that keeping your squeeze page short and sweet works like a charm. Too much text gives them too much to read. You want them to react immediately to see what`s on the other side. Great headline to capture their attention, a few bullet points and video has dramatically increased my conversions.

Your squeeze page looks ok. Basically below 4 element is important to a high conversion squeeze page.

    1. The first thing you need is to have a headline that is effective and grab attention.
    2. Have a call to action at both the top and bottom of your squeeze page.
    3. A lot of time attractive graphics attract attentions, you should use relevant images that can grab the visitor attention.
    4. Do not provide external link on your squeeze page for visitor to move away from your website.

    Hope this help.

A good squeeze page has a good attention grabbing header title. Then it has to offer alot of value for the person to want to give up their email. Especially now days people are less likely to want to give you their email address. Not to much text content. Just to the point short writing and video is good also.

At least as important - if not more important - than even the copy on your squeeze page are your traffic sources.

Where are you driving traffic from? Different sources will bring differing quality of leads...and they'll all respond...differently.

First get clear on who you're targeting. Then find out where they are. Find out what they MOST want - not what you THINK they want.

You do all of that and writing the squeeze page that actually converts is a piece of cake.

Use the Google Keyword Tool. Don't just grab a bunch of keywords. Use it to get inside the head of your prospect. If 25,000 people a month are searching for "high blood pressure natural cures" ask yourself WHY they're searching for that.

Here's a trick. Pretend you're interviewing one of these people. Use your imagination. Ask your imaginary friend what's important to them about finding a natural cure to high blood pressure. Maybe they say they're on a fixed budget and can't afford prescription drugs, but they HAVE to get the high blood pressure under control.

Then ask them what's important about getting it under control. They say it's caused them to miss out on time with their grandchildren.

Then you ask them what's important about THAT. They say "what's more important than time with your grandchildren. It's what I live for."

You see all of this is going on in your head. It's a way for you to start feeling a believable pain that people in the market have.

THEN you can put your squeeze page together. If this example where real, I'd write copy that mentions saving money while saving your health so you can collect more memories with your loved ones. Or something like that. You get the drift.

    Hope that helps.

    Rock it out,
    Chris

      That sounds quite wrong...
You are talking about sales pages.

Isn't the function of a "squeeze page" only to get visitors to give you their email, i.e. to sign up to your list?

Make your page short, informative and exciting. I got bored when I started to read more than half the page.
