Mass Emailing using email client...

I need to email to about 300+ clients but they are not in any auto-responders.

How will you email all of them without being marked as a spam email?

I was thinking of emailing in a bulk of 10 emails in BCC.

How will you do it?

When you say 300+ clients, are they your clients? If they are what would be the problem in just emailing them? You already have a relationship with them don't you?

If they are not your clients, don't email them at all. Any unsolicited email is bound to get a lot of spam complaints; that would only harm your business.

Your thinking is correct as far as too many emails to one particular destination mail host might get you flagged by that particular webmaster before they even reach your clients. Supposedly autoresponder services maintain good relationships with these webmasters. But your 300 doesn't sounds like a big deal. Not knowing better I would break it up into a few separate mailings. I imagine mailing from a few different accounts would help.

    Hi Joseph,

There are desktop software that you can use to schedule
sending a lot of emails right from your desktop.

Here's an example: Email marketing software: Mailing software | SendBlaster

I haven't tried that software myself but it might help you.

    Best regards,

    Mary

    Hi,

If I am you, I would just send them as per normal since they already know you. Just send about 30 to 50 using BCC looks fine too...

    Cheers

Sending out that many e-mails via BCC will definitely trigger most ISP's spam filtering algos, this is not good advice. I don't know what the actual thresh hold is because it changes all the time, but that many will mostl likely trigger it.

I'd run a test first with some friends across at least 2 to 3 major email providers and see how many, if any, get labeled as spam. Start off with your 10 and see what happens. It may not be necessary to go out and get separate software to do this unless the OP plans on e-mailing them more then a few times.

You can use outlook to send to multiple accounts at a time or you can use send blaster and send from your ISPs smtp server

The 300+ are clients, so technically you shouldn't need to worry about complaints. Of course anyone can complain regardless, all depends on how they perceive what you send them.

If you send from your existing internet provider you shouldn't have any delivery issues. If you do, then your provider sucks!!! That is if you send through their smtp. The only problem you may have is if they have any limit on how many emails per day you can send.

Quickly looking at Sendblaster they show that you can configure it to send through providers smtp or what they call SMTP Free Delivery - don't waste your time with this. It will attempt to send directly through port 25 which some providers (probabaly most to all these days) block you from doing and many providers won't accept mail this way.

I see no problem using sendblaster if you send through your providers smtp, as long as your sending business related email that the recipients won't take as spam. Just check with your provider and see if they limit how many emails per day you can send.

I wouldn't send BCC because it's just not as professional looking as sending each recipient a message addressed to them.
