What to Do After I Submit My Content to Article Directories

So after I make posts on my site and submit them to article directories (are there any worth submitting to besides Ezine, Goarticles, and Articlesbase btw?), where should I look to build links to those posts? Is it so much an issue of looking for links, or expecting webmasters to link to me from syndication?

Hi Laura, you should build backlinks only to the copies of the articles on your own site, not to article directory copies, for all the reasons explained in this thread (and there are 5 or 6 other links in there which may help ).

And there are specific suggestions answering your question in the thread Andy kindly listed, just above.

I haven't found any that are worth my while, apart from those three. I started off submitting to hundreds and hundreds, for a while ... then for about a year I submitted to about 8 article directories, but for the last year I've "cut down" to EZA and one of the other two you mention (which one depending on the niche) and done just as well that way - better, in fact.
