Default 644 hops and not 1 sale? Is Clickbank robbing me?

I just checked my clickbank stats for the last 30 days.
Spread out in the following niches:
hydrogen conversion
Paid Surveys
Digital Scrapbooking

I have had 648 hops in total in 30 days.

Not one single sale! Can anyone else tell me if this is even possible.

7 months ago I went through a dry spell like this and sent an email to Clickbank.
They told me everything seemed fine and it happens.
Magically within 24 hours of getting the "it happens" email
my sales got back to normal.

I am confused.

Any help thoughts greatly appreciated.

What were your usual sales? Just interested in the steepness of the change. I'm worried about cb right now.

My sales have gone down, too.

It seems Clickbank is having problems, but perhaps the current economic climate is also having an effect.

Many people have been reporting these below average Clickbank sales, too

Please use the search function of this forum.
We have had 100's of clickbank "horror stories".
As far as I know there still isn't an explenation.
There are also people that have switched from clickbank to an other merchant with positive results!

Why not try that again?

On the merchant side of things (which may or may not be related to the kind of problem you've been having): I've noticed that, instead of the same 'evened-out' sales patterns my websites have had for the past 5 years, I can now (over the past 3 months, approximately) see a definite "clumping" pattern whereby I get no sales notifications for long periods and then suddenly get a whole big bunch of them all in one go.

At first, I thought it might be just a delay in sending out e-mail notifications but, when I check (what is presumably) the time these sales were processed (when I log into my CB account), I very often find that they have occured within 1 or 2 minutes of each other, usually over a 1 or 2 hour period, and very often have happened 12-24 hours ago.

That's not to say ALL sales have been happening like this but it IS a noticeable pattern.

It's weird, to say the least.

Tommy.

I notice that my affiliate name does not show for the yeast infection book by Sarah. The payment link actually is not a clickbank link but seems to redirect from something else. This wouldn't be a clickbank problem in general but one I am seeing in relation to this merchant.

I think it's a combination of poor economy, poor niche selection and promoting.

648 hops and not a single sale????? Wow, what about your landing page? Hopefully you are capturing something from the visitors. If not, this may be an indication as well that your content needs to change as it sounds as definately a bad mix.

You aren't doing PPC only for this campaign are you?

There are several affiliate products that I promote and I have hundreds of hops and no sales.

Sometimes, due to the keyword you are isolating, or the ad text you are using to get the click, the people don't buy.

I have one in particular that I can get lots of hops but no conversions but i think its the keyword I am using.

the same product sells with other keywords.

648 hops and no sale?

Gee - doesn't sound good. Is this for only one product or for all?

Even then you would think that you could get at least 1 sale with that many hops.

It MIGHT be a CB problem, but there's also so much missing info, which is more likely the problem. For example, for all we know you could be using keywords like:

"lowest fuel price" > to promote hydrogen conversion
"start a business" > to promote Paid Surveys
"home based hobby" > to promote Digital Scrapbooking

Which are silly examples, but who knows...it happens.

And furthermore, you could also suck at preselling (no offense).

Totally SICK! How to make between $35 - $1000 or more per article! NEVER write for $5 cheapos again!

(And you can resell the same article daily too, with built in traffic and ready buyers!)

I've been seeing the same thing for months, I normally generate 200 hops per month at least, however not one order form impression. This tells me that the sales page doesn't convert. If the sales page was decent there would at least be some order form impressions. My two cents anyway.

Hi,

Not sure how you promote these offers, but if you are doing PPC, this can be so, especially with the Content Network. I have a few offers running on the Content Network, and I get a sale out of about 300 hops. (very worth it as I pay $0.01 per click) And that`s for one of the top CB offers. So if the traffic is not targeted at all, 600+ hops and no sales might be real.
