Video Help Please...Video Formatting-Uploading To Youtube

I'm just trying out Animoto business version, and uploading straight to youtube using the built in functionality looks like pure crap.

When embedding the Animoto flash player on a site, it looks great however. There is an option to download the videos, and even download a DVD quality version, which is mp4 I think.

I'm thinking another format, and uploading the videos manually to youtube will yield higher quality?

Do I need to buy some sort of video conversion software to do so?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can shed some light on this!

    Yes, I appreciate the option, but I would prefer the regular quality be higher for the percentage of people who would not click on "watch in high quality."

    I was just thinking maybe if learned how to convert the formats, I could take the dvd quality download and upload it to achieve a slightly better look?

    Which I think this will do...AVSMedia. Best software for you on today's market. Subscribe and download now for free!, but it would be going from mp4 to flv, which may not be any better quality I'm guessing?
