List Building with Twitter!

Hi guys!

Yeasterday I bought 160 000 tweet's for $46 (thats $0,00029 per. follower). The tweet's will go live today at Sep 08 19:00 GMT - Greenwich Mean Time.

The tweet is following:

"Become Your Own Boss! & Get Paid Round The Clock!
Download This Free Ebook Now! (Worth $129):
*LINK*"

I'm so excited if the tweet's will build my subscriber list, I'm like a child on christmas!

I will update this thread after the tweet's have gone live, so you guys can see if it worked well or not.

Best regards,

Jimmy

If you're sending them to that landing page in your sig - then you may want to, correct the spelling error on there from "Singn" to "Sign"

But my own personal advice would be:

You really need to work on the landing page. I don't see any attention grabbing headline. I don't see any reason to sign up to receive the ebook, you're offering.
Why should they give you their name & email?
      Whats in it for them?

Just telling you this stuff for your own benefit - because I don't see that landing page converting ( unless of course you have tested it before and it does convert really well- in which case just ignore me ) so you'd just be wasting all those potential leads that do click through.

      Best of luck.

          Ah, okay.
How well does it convert? You should link it here - you could get some valuable pointers on boosting conversion rate.

It's this website: WhatIsAffiliateProgram.com (sorry, but I can't create links yet).

              Hmm.
An attention grabbing headline is a must.
Just saying "Special Free Offer" alone isn't going to grab most people's attention.
Another problem is that you've got 2 arrows pointing to your free report/opt-in form - but there is no details about what the report is about or any reason why they should opt-in.

Then you've got what appears to be an article teaching them about what affiliate programs are....
It is kinda confusing to be honest.

I really don't think its going to convert all that well.

I'd really reconsider going live at 7.30 pm and work on having your landing page improved.

Post it up in the copywriting section - you'll probably get some great advice about what you can do to make it convert really well for you.

Otherwise, all i see happening is you're sending alotta people to a page that won't convert.

              You really need a:
              Headline
A few bullets teasing them about whats in the report
Opt In form above the fold.

Well, you said it more plainly than I wanted to. I'm positive it's not 160,000 accounts, I made my point poorly.

You can get way more than 160,000 potential eyes split among 8 different accounts for $40 on Fiverr.

                  At a quick glance:

                  80k x 1 + 10k Facebook fans - $5
                  50k x 7 days = 350k - $5
                  3k x 3 a day x 3 days = 27k - $5
                  80k x 2 a day x 1 day = 160k - $5

There you go - over 610,000 potentials spread over multiple accounts and days/times + exposure to over 10k FB fans for 20 bucks.

Of course this doesn't address quality whatsoever. Just some thoughts.

Its a big improvement, still could use work ( ask for help in copywriting section )
Though just 1 more thing - add another opt-in form next to/below the body copy you've got. Don't expect them to scroll back up to opt-in.

Interesting to say the least. Definitely keep us up to date on how that goes. In the meantime, have you tried to build up a twitter account targeted to your niche? That too is an awesome way to build a list with twitter and doesn't cost a dime. Just some time. Looking forward to your results!

Doesn't have to take that much time either if you automate a lot of it.

Is that one Tweet going out on 160,000 accounts (doubtful for $46), or one Tweet going out to 160,000 followers on one account? Big difference there.

Do you know anything about the responsiveness of the followers on the account(s)?

Most likely, you will be far better served building your own account(s) and following to target your audience better. These arrangements usually work better for the one getting paid to do the Tweeting, unless it's a carefully constructed campaign. I hope for your sake, I'm wrong.

I'm not convinced about this tactic. Most people still follow their friends, favorite companies or trusted sources. Getting something this commercial can easily be skipped as spam. I would love to hear what kind of click through rates those posts get.

Well, I have 15,000 on my main account, and about 50,000 followers spread across the others, some of which are the same people. If I tweet all day long, I get about two hundred unique views, maybe a thousand actual hits. It's improving, as I get more followers from Twiends.

    Suggestion:

Open a twitter account for just this one link.

Build and design a professional looking Twitter page for this account.

Get a copy of tweetadder3 and license.

Go to twittercounter.com and identify similar accounts and lists in your niche.

i.e. For 'Planet Green Central' I targeted Al Gore, National Geographic, Oprah, etc. for 'Love From Mom' I targeted Oprah, EV (one of the founders of twitter), etc.

Add 'followers of' the specific accounts you identified to your to-follow list.

Create a simple Thankyou direct message for people who follow your account.

Create a list of about 400 'Random Thoughts', 'Factiod', 'Famous Quotes' and 'I Have an Idea' tweets to be posted once every 3 or 4 hours.

Add about 20 Marketing tweets with that one link, to that mix.

If the link is for a blog, youtube account or other regularly updated content, set up an RSS Feed tool such as tweetadder's RSS option OR bit.ly's Twitterfeed.com (do not use both)

Allow tweetadder3 to run for several weeks, adding followers and randomly tweeting.

PERSONALLY REPLY to every Direct Message and @you tweet, using a twitter client that will show you those tweets specifically.

Watch your list grow with your followers.

You need to give it more time - not every single person is gonna see your tweet in just 1 hour.

There are a multitude of reasons why it could be/have been a failure:

      1. The tweet is like a headline - if it didn't grab their attention - then its a complete waste

      2. The offer
      3. Your landing page didn't do the business of converting - which also appears to be the case.

And don't you have to weed no-follows out by hand?
