Have you used Press Releases for your online business.Did you find them effective.Its a least known method among various Search Engine Optimization methods.Just wondering,how many of you had seen the results from the press releases.

      I used the $200 PRWeb press release before and the results were okay for SEO. Gave a quick jump but wasn't anything life-changing. Try it and see if it works for you (there's $50 off coupons online too). Gave me I think around 50 backlinks that showed up as actual backlinks (the article was reposted by many, many sites but not all showed up as a backlink).

    It really depends on your keyword research. If you have good precisely targeted keywords with 30-80 visits per day to your products or services and you use these keywords as your link text/anchor text and sending them to a page that is exactly about that keyword. You can get some good traffic. It still will take 1-2 weeks to see some results.

    Press releases are great ways to build backlinks to your site. You can get your articles syndicated really easy by submitting aritcles to the press release sites.

    One article can potentially turn into 1000's of links back to your site.

    Here's a good tip for press releases.

    Pay an outsourcer to write and submit to about 30 sites. YOu can get this done for about $10-15. This will take alot of the headaches away.

    I have used press releases on occasion and have made quite a few sales from them. I use PRlog.org. Its free and has sent me a decent amount of traffic.

    I like press releases, I use them all the time. Of course because I also write press releases for myself and others, I guess I am a little biased!
    However, like everyone else has stated they are not going to produce mind blowing results and I definitely don't think they should be used as a foundation but as a part in a marketing strategy.

    Press releases are not the "key to the vault", but I've used them effectively. They can also help raise the visibility for offline businesses. I offer press release services to all my clients.

    Thanks Warriors for the posts.And its interesting note from some of you about the utility of press release as a part of marketing strategy.I think thats true and each of the marketing techniques has its own significance so does press release.
