Changing Twitter username

Hopefully I've posted this in the right spot.

I want to change my Twitter username which seems an easy enough process, but if I have Twhirl and widgets all over the place that look at my original username, do any of you know whether I have to go and manually change them all?

In other words, does changing the username "break" anything??

    The only way to know is to give it a shot. I do know that when you change your Twitter name, you can't change it back, because that name is gone forever. You will have to pick another.

    So make sure you want to make the change, because there is no going back to the original.

    I know - I've already been there.
