Camtasia Video Question

I have 3 Camtasia videos I want to watch, but my free download has expired. How can I watch them? Nothing else I tried seems to work.

In all my search for video and articles on Camtasia, i always find something missing.

However, this Squidoo lens is a great resource.

      I'm confused.

Are you saying you have videos that were never rendered that you want to watch?

      Thanks for your replies.

I bought Instant Article Suite, in May this year, and never got around to watching all the videos. I have sent a PM to the programmer, but no reply.

You shouldn't need camtasia to WATCH videos.

You may need to download a player of some kind, but not camtasia. Players are free.

If you can tell us what kind of video it is (based on the extension) such as .flv or .avi etc... I'm sure we can find a free viewer for you.

    Download VLC player:

VideoLAN - Official page for VLC media player, the Open Source video framework!

It is free and will play pretty much ANY video or audio file.

If you were opening camtasia video projects to watch the videos but never "produced" them as actual videos (avi, mp4, etc) then you probably DO need camtasia to view the videos.

Camtasio video projects are normally: filename.camproj or filename.camrec

If you DID produce the videos to avi's or mp4's then any video player should be able to play them.

Thank you all for your help, but the only way out was to download Camtasia.
Apparently camrec files can only be changed to AVI if you have Camtasia to render it.
No other digital player will play a camrec file.
I managed to get another 30 day trial by using a different email, duh!

I think what you have done is record your screen as camrec file, but you havent produced it into avi, flv or mp4 so you can use video players such as VLC to play it. You need to produce the camrec files otherwise you will need camtasia to view your videos.
