Just curious. I know of a couple people that have pictures proving they make $1000-$2000/month from reffering people to cash crate for instance

I've always hated doing the surveys. Always way more trouble than it was worth and you get stuck with infinite spam in your email.

Not saying people don't have success with it, but it's not automated and as soon as you stop taking the surveys, revenue stops.

But, if you can sign up a bunch of people who actually commit to doing them for the long run, then you can make some income.

Before I learned about affiliate marketing and other ways legit to generate residual income, I did surveys. My sister actually introduced me to the idea. One of the problems we ran into was running out of surveys to do. Only one person in a household can do a survey. Also, it took forever for new offers to be added -- months would pass. Most importantly, if you forget to cancel, you're screwed.

If you're looking to generate legit, residual income, I would recommend building a niche site or blog with affiliate marketing--especially now with the holidays around the corner. It's not a "flash in the pan" kind of a thing, so you don't have to worry about it coming to an end and your money drying up. It's very stable, and people have been doing it since the inception of the internet.

I like the fact I can work once and it continue to pay off without me doing anything. I have stuff that I've been making money from for years both in the IM and dating niches. I also like that I can create multiple streams of income from the same site as well as work around my own schedule. I don't do well with time restrictions.

If you're interested in some quality training, I recommend Unstoppable Affiliate by Andrew Hansen and Josh Stanton. It's was specifically created with the novice marketer in mind and uses a realistic, practical approach to making it online--without all the bull. In addition to the basic course, there's also a coaching program that you can participate in, if you like.

    Good luck,
    Joey

I tried to earn through survey sites at the very beginning of my journey at IM. Now I really hate them. Always referral plays the biggest game here and it seems MLM to me.

Although surveys are good if you find the right paying surveys however I would suggest its a big waste of time when compared to the amount of hours you invest.

    - Instead of surveys try focus groups which pay around $250 - $300 for couple of hours. A local search will tell you where to apply and how to attend. Its a much better way of earning recurring money. You are paid to talk and provide your opinion verbally.
