Hi fellow warriors,

6 Articles in 12 Days: 1040 Views, 30% CTR, $60 Revenue

This is my this months article stats till date.

I just wanted to have some suggestions from you people that now onward what should be my strategy to increase my revenue.

1) I have not yet put Opt-In form on my landing page.. It is because the Niche is such that opt-in form can be a hindrance for a prospect... (your suggestions plz ...)

2) Should I concentrate on this niche only for a month and then go on to the next one.

3) How should I increase keyword base... (Should I go for those keywords which are displayed in EZA stats... as such those keywords have no search counts when searched in free keyword tools)

4) I know I have written only 6 articles in last 12 days. My biggest problem is lack of motivation or concentration required to write articles in one go. Right now I can only write 1 article in 1 hour. Yes , I repeat that it takes me approx. 1 hour to write 1 article.

Now I expect some in depth suggestions from article marketing experts like Steven,Dean,Allen on how to increase our productivity for article writing.

My goal is to write at least 10 articles per day. But I have yet to achieve it.

So any suggestions plz...

You could take that $60 and outsource more articles.

I find it hard to sit down and write articles for a long period of time also. I have got it down to about 10 - 15 minutes for 1 article.

If you outsourced then do some more keyword research on the niche, I seriously doubt there is only 6 keywords that could be profitable in any niche, no matter how much competition. If you purchase 400 - 500 word articles you could get about 10 articles of decent quality.

Then bookmark your articles and submit them to several directories. Then submit your author rss feeds to several rss sites.

Build links to your articles as well as your landing page.

This is just 1 way, I'm sure more experienced article marketers could give you more tips and avenues to income with these articles.

Thank you mark for the useful suggestions.

But I really want to master the art of article writing. and That's why I have taken a challenge to write all articles myself for at least a months time. And when I will have enough revenue in my hand and ongoing income from my articles then I can think about outsourcing them.

Right now I am just concentrating on how can I improve my writing speed without any distractions. So more suggestions are always welcome...

My view is that article marketing is like anything. Practice makes perfect. The more articles you write, the faster you will get as you will know how to research quickly and get text on pad quicker!

As far as building your business, I would again say to outsource. I mean think about it, $60 is not a life changing sum of money and if you cash the cehque it isn't going to do much for you. So reinvest it to make more. Now you know the niche and your landing page is converting, ramp up your efforts.

Outsource 10 articles and write 10 yourself! Thats doubled your output straight away! I outsource and write myself constantly as my output is doubled then!

Thanks GoGetta for those tips. Yes I agree outsourcing improves your productivity by several percentages. But again as you said 10 articles for outsourcing and 10 articles myself for every day...and the question comes again that how to write 10 articles faster every day without having distracted or without being bored...

It also depends on what you do with those articles. Just posting them at random to Ezinearticles for instance does little good IMHO.

I use articles mainly to get backlinks. And then I DON'T bother posting to those usual article directories everyone else uses...

Your original question was asking for a strategy on how to increase your revenue with articles, not how to write quicker. You need to be a bit clearer.

Anyway, just write, don't think about it too much. Write like crazy then go back and refine them. You don't have to write an award winning piece, just good enough to sound like you know what your doing.

Break it down into sections, then piece it together once your done.

I read a few articles on the subject I'm writing on and then I write everything in my own wordds quickly while its still in my head.

10 articles a day is a lot higher than half an article a day (your current rate). I have done 10 articles a day, but when I do that I burn out and my writing suffers. It takes me about 15 minutes to write the article, plus keyword research and submitting.

    Here's what I do.

I start by planning 10 articles. I decide on the keywords for each article and save a word document for each article with the keyword on the page. Then I take it one at a time. I don't think about writing 10 articles, I think about writing one. I listen to classical music while I write, I find that helps me concentrate. I don't go online at all, unless I need to look up something for the article, but even then I try to do that before I start writing. When I finish and submit it, I take a break and walk away from the computer for a little while so my brain can reboot.

I do 4-6 articles a day this way (haven't been doing this method for too long. Before I would write, burn out, and be a lot less productive).

I advise that you start with one article a day. Even if it takes you an hour, that is something that you should be able to do daily. After you finish that first article, ask yourself if you want to write another one or not. It's a lot easier to convince yourself to write one little article than sit down and start writing one of ten.

One tip I can give you is...

What are you aiming for? A short term income or a Long Term Business?

Well, getting into niches, understanding your prospects' mindset, knowing quite a lot of FAQ'a related to that niche does take time.

So focus on a niche, and make it an income generator for life... Establish yourself and you'll be happy!

Thanks very much cclou,Mark and Lakshaybehl for your valuable suggestions. Now from cclou's wonderful tips I have understood that it is very important to first just concentrate on 1 article at a time and rest will automatically follow.

Thanks again to all who have provided their insights here.

Here's a tip someone shared with me. I think it's good to use to build up speed. Get a timer or use the clock on your monitor. You said it takes you one hour to write an article--let's say you are shooting for 400 word articles.

Give yourself 15 minutes. Write like a madman. Forget about punctuation and spelling, just let the words flow out. At 15 minutes STOP! Take a five minute breather and collect your thoughts.

Now start all over. Either write the same article again or start a new one. Again, write like crazy and stop at 15 minutes. If you dedicate 2 hours a day to trying this--I can almost guarantee it will improve your concentration and speed.

At the end of the day, throw all of your articles in the trash. They were for practice. Another thing I do is decide I will write, say--10 articles today. I write one after another while I am in a groove. I only check for spelling and punctuation after I finish all the articles. That way I don't get stuck going back and forth between writing and proof reading.

Hey, Sean Mize has got 13,000 articles posted at ezinearticles--two-thirds of which he wrote himself. That will give you a target to shoot for

You should consider outsourcing the writing. Your CTR is excellent. Why waste time on writing all yourself.

I would like to express a great "thank you" for mikemcmillan and Dennis for providing much needed motivation and inspiration for me which was somehow missing for last 12 days in my article marketing campaign.

Hopefully now I will be able to increase my speed as well as improve upon my other areas.

    Hi

I'm not going to mention outsourcing as I read you want tips to speed up your writing.

Look at how long it takes you to write an article now, then set a timer to a few minutes lower than your current time.

Set yourself a challenge over a 7 day period - write x number of articles on day 1, increase that by 1 or 2 on day 2, increase again day 3 etc.

Work with the lights off so you only have the light of the monitor (provided you can still see your keyboard) and you will be less likely to become distracted by things around you.

Set a timer for 5 minutes and write as much, and as fast as you can about anything to do with for blog for that length of time Don't worry about grammar or spelling - what you are aiming for is improving your speed of typing. At the end of 5 minutes see how many words you have writted and use that as a basis for writing your articles.

Hope some of those tips help.

    Mary
