What reasons do you use to get considered as a platinum author?

I've written my share of articles as a basic author. It's time to get considered for platinum status, but I'm at a loss for words when it comes to explaining why I think I deserve it. I guess I'm more worried about not getting approved. It's probably a simple question or answer....and maybe my brain's still running on weekend mode!?!

Any suggestions on what reasons to use?

I got a platinum status easily.
    Just tell them:
    1) you've written many quality articles in the past. and you have many more articles in draft.
    2) you like writing articles, and think that ezinearticles is the best place to submit them.

I would say quality of your articles would make you platinum with first 10 submissions or you might have to submit 25 more or so.

The chances are they will put you through the plus membership once or twice before they give you platinum.

I got it after 10 articles, obviously ensured that they were quality ones. Some were under pen names too because they were different subjects.

The reason I gave was that I enjoyed writing, and that the articles that I had written had clearly been of benefit to people (they had good stats) and I would welcome the opportunity to continue informing the relevant audience. Didn't go into a huge amount of detail.

I don't think you really need to stress about writing something great there. I don't even remember what I wrote and I got approved for platinum within hours.

linm, I somewhat disagree. I think if you are new to submitting articles and want to build a rep for quality, you should put some effort into what you write - not just throw in any garbarge. But, you are right that is does not have to be the most brilliant stuff that takes hours and hours to get just right - just make it good.

thanks everyone. I wasn't sure if I would get any replies. I submitted my request about thirty minutes after I posted this. Anyhow....I guess what I wrote fell into the categories that many suggested.

I only submitted 9 articles and for some reason, it wouldn't let me submit anymore. My only other choice was to request for an upgrade.

Should I wait until I get a response about my request or should I open another account so I can submit more articles? Time is money afterall!
