Need Warrior's perspective on website

Hi, I've put together a website that contains three seperate blogs. The website is RealityBomb.com The initial idea behind the website was not really to make money, it was more about sharing alternative perspectives on things. Anyway, I haven't had the time to write for the website as much as I would of liked to so I've decided to look into letting it go. The homepage has a page-rank of 3/10 and other pages have 2/10 and below so I'm hoping some warriors might be able to tell me what sort of price I should ask for the website and where would be the best place to get a quick sale?

I just done a check on the website domainvalues.com and its telling me the domain is worth $4000 but I have no idea if this is accurate or not.

Any suggestions on what I should ask for it?

Most online valuation tools are meaningless.

For example. This tool tells me my antiscam blog is worth $1980, that it gets 7351 pages views a day (it gets around 500) and that it earns $6 a day (it earns around $250 a year - less than $1 a day)

Then it tells me that another site is worth $2000, that it gets 15 pages views a day (it gets around 70 a day) and that it earns $0 a day (this site earns around $450 a month)

I'm not a site flipper, but most here say that, unless your site has specific potential, it sells for around 10 times monthly income.

So the question is - how much does the site earn?

Firstly the valuation websites hold no substance whatsoever. Two case studies from a few years ago:

Site one I was earning about $30 per day, pretty much an autoblog and it was said it was worth over $30K which it frankly wasn't

Site 2 had a membership script, totally automatic and was earning about $800 per day and it's "value" was well under 10K.

The classic valuation on sites like Flippa is 10X your monthly profit with variations based on the value of your domain name and room for development

So basically the monthly income x10-12 = the value of your site.

You can of course sell the site for much more if you see it fit.

A lot of it depends on the sites potential as well. I had a site which was just beginning to take off, my earnings were pretty much doubling every month and you could see that with a little more work, the site could do even better.

I managed to sell that for nearly 20 times the revenue of my highest month. The site was barely a year old so it's hard to work out an average revenue for it as several months I made hardly anything from it.

People who buy blogs generally know what I site is worth and I'd generally go along the lines of offering 12 times the monthly revenue.

I guess 10x the monthly income is a fair estimate for websites although it is much less than I thought considering how offline businesses are valued.

Anyway, what about a sites potential... is that worth anything?
Or even the PR score, is that worth anything?

So, I'm I right to say that its not worth anything??

You could get two bidders that really need your site, just like a regular auction and profit well.

PR has barely any relevance and those that do give credence to it are usually doing so because they've just bought an ebook from 2 or more years ago. As I and someone else earlier mentioned, if your site has room for development or is growing exponentially then you may be able to get a better deal.

My advice would be that if your website is a real earner, stay away from Flippa, the values are lower there because of the pure trash on thesite. People kind of expect that yours is too.

Thanks. Tbh, thinking about it I might as well just leave the site where it is until I have time to add content every day. Its a project I know I'll enjoy so I guess it won't hurt if I leave it till I'm ready. Plus, I do have a few ideas to make some cash from it so it probably makes much more sense to think about selling it once its been properly established.

      Cheers for the advice all.
