simple questions to those that succeed with amazon or clickbank review site.

How fast(I means fastest time) you were able to earn the first sale from amazon or clickbank review sites? And how many article we should write for a single product review? For example you want to write the review of a fan..the first article is about the review of that fan, or write something about the fan but not review? Should you insert affiliate link into every post?

Sorry for asking, but i was so curios about your earning..Would you mind to tell us that how much you have earned from your review site pass 30days?
:p

If you do paid traffic, it can be instant. If you do seo only it can take months.

    I do both methods.

I'd write about 5 reviews and 5 to 10 information articles to start. Yes you should definitely put your link in every post.

5 to 10 information articles?? That's a lot.. so you just promoting a single product in a site or several different product? I means you have the best product to promote in your site or you wrote the reviews of a few product, and let the visitor theyself to choose?

I rely on SEO only to get me sales for my amazon products. The first amazon site I started I saw a sale only about a week after. Depends how fast you get ranked in your keywords, how much traffic you are getting and how well your site is set up.

Too bad amazon shut down my affiliate account because I live in california

Sorry for the amazon new rule.. Only about a week have have seen the result? That's got to be a HERO site! You able to get result with 1 week SEO? That's cool..I tried hard(using SEnuke, free mass traffic, rrs and other SEO backlinking methods) but I just manage to rank on page 4 after 2 months

I like to test my sites quickly with ppc to see if they convert before I embark on an seo campaign.

In many cases I am profitable from day one since amazon converts so well. Also, in some cases I do not make sales in which case I move on to a new niche.

        Cheers

Is is cost a lot with PPC? After completing the keyword research, you will set up the wordpress first, or write articles( around 5-8 articles) and post it one go, the first day your website live, or you post 1 article per day?

          Jan,

I decided to use PPC this weekend but my ads keep getting knocked back because they have outbound links to 3rd party sites.

How do you get around this?

That's why I use Msft Adcenter. You can even direct link with them, promote squeeze pages etc. Ten times cooler than Google with higher converting traffic. If only they had as much traffic as the big G.

I don't know exactly how much I've earned from review sites, not so much as I used to but review sites are really all about bul****ting the poor sap that happens to wonder his or her way to your website. Propably a lot less than 1% of all the reviewers online have actually tested the product that they are giving the A+ for.

Well that's a load of bull hoohar. Providing factual information written in a review format is not "bull*****ing" the visitor, it's offering them what they came for.

If you on the other hand are bs'ing them with useless and fictional information then you sir, are an idiot.

When you use PPC for an Amazon site, what is your ROI usually?

Would you recommend PPC for high ticket niches or would that probably not be a good idea because there maybe too many casual surfers who click the ads and don't buy a product?

My Roi is 100% plus because I track the conversions for each keyword I bid on separately which allows me to dump the losers and keep the winners.

If you target and tweak the campaign properly this shouldn't make a big difference because you are hitting people searching for that item and they already know how much it costs and are prepared to pay. That's why they are shopping.

Find these people by honing your demographics and finding profitable keywords.

If someone is searching for "finance a Ford Focus" you know they are pretty close to buying that car despite the big price tag on a vehicle. In fact they are likely willing to take out a car loan to do it.

Any decent training encourages beginners to write factual honest reviews. If there's no balance between positive and negative aspects I'm sure people will doubt the quality of the review.

The common assumption is that one would write about 5 articles or reviews on 5 different web pages. Then link those web pages to each other and to the main index page. Then optimize them with keywords and backlink the heck out of them.

I have several links in my posts, but they're not really "reviews" It's an Amazon site for actually "ordering" certain kinds of products. I've made 14 sales in the past 30 days and links aren't even prettily cloaked or anything.

    Hi

A really good way to build Amazon sites is look at some successful ones and copy a lot of what they do. There are many free tools and websites to help do this.

Amazon sites are all over the place so a few searches for popular physical products especially if you add the keyword "review", will turn up a number of Amazon affiliate sites. It doesn't have to be products you plan on promoting, but you will find a lot of Amazon sites while doing your own keyword research anyway.

Do variations on searches for that product and other closely related brands or products in the niche.

Take a look at some sites and analyze or reverse engineer them.

Do you see some sites ranking for multiple keywords? They must be doing something right so analyze them.

What is the URL, EMD or are they ranking without one?

How old is the domain? PR?

Is it an authority site or a sniper site?

    What does the "About" say?

    How many articles/reviews?

Is it all reviews or some information articles too?

    Any other monetization? Adsense? Opt-In?

What theme/layout colors/graphics are they using?

    What is the on-page SEO?

How many backlinks? Where are they from?

What other sites does this person own? (surprisingly easy to find)

Free tools like SEO Quake and Traffic Travis can help find a lot of this information.
