Joint Venture List Building Questions

Hi, I'm currently building a list in the financial niche. I never had one in the past and so far got 400 subscribers. I'm looking to grow my list by joint venture. I have a few questions
1. What's the best way to find joint ventures?
2. How do I know if the other party is not lying about their list? such as their size and stuff like that.
3. How do I make sure that he will send out emails about my ebook after I send out about his?

You'd find answers to your questions in the Joint venture forum. Go here:
    Warrior Joint Ventures

I don't have permission to post there. Also, it seems that section is for people who look for joint ventures. I think I will need to find joint ventures somewhere else and get my questions answered here since it appears most people are looking for IM JV in the Warrior Joint Vetntures section.

How have you got this list of 400 in the financial list?

When looking for places to advertise see who else is using the same traffic source? Join their lists and see if you could promote each other on download pages?

In the financial niche a lot of the smaller players like your self would be much more likely to reply positively than chasing after the big names.

Lastly you can try schmoozing these big names and ask them if you can do some stuff for them in return for the chance to network with them. Getting a foot in the door and knowing these people will make the chances of a future JV much easier.

I gain the subscribers through my website. I can get on people with financial blogs. But my main concern is how do I know how many subscribers they have and how can I make sure they will send out the email about my site after I send out email to my list? I mean, people with big list wouldn't JV with me, but I'm not interested to JV with people with a list of 50 or less. So what's the best way to go about this? I mean do I have to contact tons of blog owners and see if they are interested and find out how many subscribers they have?

You need to make contact with other list owners, they're not
all going to come to you.

Search all of the high trafficked keywords in your market and
see who's on page 1 and is building a list.

Also check the ppc ads to see who's building a list.

Note down all of the websites and then make contact.

Most website owners will only be interested in what's in it
for them so don't expect them all to JV with you.

I would personally just try to make friends with them first
and get to know them instead of just rushing in and asking
        for a JV.

        Will

I know this doesn't help much but my experience has been ....its just relationships and getting to know them... so yes putting the time in to talk to people ... most people are honest about what they have and if they are not if you just talk to them a little you will be able to tell who has a decent list and who is just trying to pretend....

    thats my experience anyway
