Is it possible to make 2k within the next 3 weeks?

11 replies
I know there are a lot of great WSO's out there, but most offers require you to learn the material first and get the hang of doing things before making money....which means about 4 weeks to learn. I'm still fairly new to Internet Marketing. I don't have much to start out with since I've been jobless for the past 3 months.

I have a 10 month old to support and I'm just struggling to make ends meet. I'm late with his 9 month check up because I just don't have enough money to pay for medical bills. I'm thankful that he's healthy. His birthday is also coming up quickly and I would LOVE to do something great for his first birthday. Is it possible for me to make 2k within the next three weeks or is that too much to aim for?

I'm currently doing article marketing...in which I've made less than $100 so far in a span of three days. It is better than nothing, but with a baby...that money goes quickly!

Does anyone have any good suggestions? I would appreciate any help that comes my way....

    just think in terms of...

    keyword <--> what they actually want

    If you spend a good solid day planning a site and researching the long-tail keywords, in the matter of a month you could do pretty well.

    of course it's easier said than done when you're new.

    Advice: find markets that are made up of desperate markets.. or where conversion is really easy (like video games).

    You should sign up to NeverBlueAds and Copeac and check out there Pay per Lead offers.

    Do you have any specific skills?

    Skills....I can research and write decently? I've written 9 articles on ezine and have gotten them approved. Although it probably doesn't really take much to get articles approved....my account is currently being considered for an upgrade.
    Funny you say that...I am currently working on something that has to do with v.games!

      To answer your question, in the title the answer is Yes!

      Search, "Offline business"

      One guy had a similar goal as you. He HAD to make 2k.. and he went offline and made 11k witin several weeks.

      *Basically*

      You find small mom and pop shops that have a web presents ~ or don't and you tell them you will get their bsinesson the first page of google. Charger $500-1000 for your services and you're good to go.

      Of course there is more to it then that, but essentially you are their internet marketing consultant, and you can guarantee a great service for them. You can get as advanced into this as you wish. I have not gone this route but I'm considering it heavily.

      Good luck!

      ~~~~ or you could always sell something(s) on ebay
    Well... writing may be an option for you, but it is time consuming and doesn't pay very well. Writing for yourself on the other hand can if you know what you are doing.
    what you need to do is find a market first of all. You've got one with the v.games but I'm not sure if you'll be able to pull search engine traffic since online games is one of the biggest markets online. It would be great for PPC, but if you don't have any funds, well, PPC is out of the question for the time being. Just research, research, research those keywords.
    what you want to do is build a small portfolio of say 5-20 keywords that you want to target. You want those keywords to have some search volume (doesn't have to be high), but you want to know that they will convert.
    Here's an example:
    Let's say you are a web designer and want potential clients to hire you. The first keyword that pops into mind is 'web designer'... if somebody types in 'web designer'... it is pretty obvious that a web designer will get some work, right?
    Now since that is kinda competitive... just drill down a little bit.
    I came up with 'hire web designer'... not as much search volume (Google's keyword tool says about 100/month)... but much easier to rank for... and you can rank pretty fast.
    The distinction that you need to make when looking at keywords is "will this convert"...
    ...a keyword like "how to lose weight" is so broad and not very targeted. Everybody and there mother will have a different method for losing weight, ya know?
    when you start out, you want to just wisely choose a small number of keywords that you KNOW will convert, like 'hire web designer'...
    Hope that helps you out.
    I'll be honest with you. I think you're going to find it really hard.
    Some people can do it but it takes a good knowledge of Direct Response Marketing to achieve...and...almost always some start up cash to get a product, sales letter and traffic.
    Writing articles to get sales might bring some cash but I'd never want to have it being my only thing.
    Freelancing might be a decent option though and something to pursue while you learn more about marketing.
    Good luck with your goal.
    sorry to burst your bubble.but you need money to create money;not always but it helps most of the time.go get a job first,and use some of the money from the job to play around with internet marketing til you get a hang of things..
    lets say u create a real unique product with a real good usp
    salescopy-500 bucks for something passable
    minisite design-200 bucks for a proper design
    300 bucks to create all the affiliate tools for your affiliates such as banners,ad copy,classified ad ,email copy,etc,etc..
    thats a 1000 dollars down already..and thats without marketing your site..i would say keep 500 bucks a month to market for first three months at least..
    Thanks for all the suggestions.
    I calculated it and it actually comes out to a little less than $100 a day. It's possible. I'll update again later.
    The answer is - Yes! You can certainly make that kind of money. $2000 in 3 weeks is $95 a day. $2000 in 2 weeks is $143 a day. It is definitely "doable."
    I would suggest doing 2 things:
    1. Developing a short-term way of making immediate income.
    2. Using the $$$ from #1 to develop long-term, passive income streams.
    Take an inventory of your strengths. Can you write? Do graphic design? Help with Wordpress blogs? (I have one offline client who just paid $800 for a course to help her create a WP blog. Yes, I said eight hundred dollars. No, she didn't pay me for the WP course [I am a Blogger gal. :rolleyes:] - but she mentioned how happy she was to have found the course for such an affordable price. Yeah, offline clients are awesome. )
    Once you have the immediate income needs met, then you can start you invest in creating multiple passive income streams.
    Need help? Just ask!
