Want To Make More money From Your List?

I was reading an ebook on Facebook marketing the other day which said to promote your fan page you should place a link to it everywhere. Including all of your email correspondence.

At first I thought why should I use a sig file for emails to my subscribers, I can see why I'd do it on support emails and general emails but not so much to my subscriber list. Then I got to thinking about it and went straight to aweber to create a sig file for my email broadcasts.

I'm on loads of lists and to be honest I don't see many of them that use a sig at the end of their emails. I even read an ebook from a marketer who said you should do this and on signing up to her list she didn't do it herself.

Here's what you're missing by not doing this.

1. Sales, always be selling, even in non sales emails there should be something at the bottom of the email that sends them to an offer. A soft sell with a link and a sentence or two description.

If someone buys from this list that has never bought before, you now have a new buyer on your buyers list.

2. Forwarded emails, if someone forwards your email because it's full of useful info and you have no contact info on your page, how are they going to sign up to your list or visit your blog.

People are lazy, they don't want to be scrolling to the bottom of the email to find the original sender or contacting the referer to find out where it came from. Make it easy for them by placing a link to your blog or website in your sig.

3.Place a link to one or two to your social sites. This will help with sales. How? If you're selling something in an email the customer may have to see the offer 4 - 7 times before making a purchase decision.

If you can get them on your social networks as well they're gonna see this offer more and more and are more likely to buy from you. Additionally, with Facebook for example, if they 'like' your fan page it gets shown to all of their friends and you may pick up a few more fans as a result.

4. Ask for a referral, referrals are by far one of the best types of customer, why wouldn't you ask for a referral. It doesn't take a lot for them to forward on your email with a quick 'I thought you might like this' message attached.

But if you don't suggest it to them, plant the seed, they're not gonna do it.

That's it. Four really good reason you should have an email sig on you subscriber list and why you're losing business by not doing so.

Some great information, thanks! The note about having a signature in your email is pretty important. Which reminds me, I need to do that :-) Good advice Darren!

It's such a simple thing, and you only need to do it once and update it every now and then but tends to get overlooked. ALOT.

Thanks Darren for sharing this wonderful information.

Most of the time we come across information which can help boost our business, but over time we fail to implement those ideas and eventually they become unused.

    Thanks,

    Aaron

My email always has a sig at the end with my links in it. Whenever I reply to anyone, the sig goes out with it, even to friends and family. It doesn't hurt to have it, and hopefully someone is going to click on it.

Excellent, I'm glad you found the post useful but more importantly, you're acting on it.

Putting your Fanpage or subscriber address on your thankyou page is one of them best places you can put it. They've jsut bought your product and will be very receptive to it at that point.

I have that problem all of the time, information overload. There are so many things you can do to improve your business that things just get missed.

If you read something that you find useful and it's easy to implement you should do it straight away because tomorrow never comes and you end up forgetting about it.
