Original content or PLR report for Opt-in

My partner and I are delving into the world of affiliate marketing and want to ensure we start of right by building a list.

We are wanting to offer a report based on our niche in exchange for emails...fairly standard practice.

I am just wondering if it would be better to pay someone to write a unique report of if we should just purchase a PLR report.

I am also curious about length?

Thanks
Adrian

PLR is a great starting point - spend a little time to customize it with your own input and style. Better to get started than to wait until you have written the perfect report - you can always do that later and just swap it out.

      ^^ Great advice ^^

I'm currently using a PLR report to "build a list", at least until I figure out what I'm going to create...

    Thanks for that Focused,

We are going to outsourcing the articles as we want that to be 100% original content...just wasn't sure if we should outsource the e-book or just PLR it.

Sounding like PLR might be the way to start anyway...just need to make sure it is a good one.

Using a PLR as a basis of your Giveaway Product is always a great idea, as it saves you a lot of time in coming up with a report structure. I would recommend you though to completely modify the PLR and give it your spin, so as to make it unique to you.
    Consider the following changes for your PLR report;
    1) The Name
    2) The Written content
    3) External and Internal Graphics (if any)

Making these changes, you should be absolutely fine with your Giveaway Product.

Wish you all the best and all the success for your new venture.

    Regards,

Try to pick PLR that isn't used widely. A lot of people, especially in the IM niche, tend to grab a PLR report that people can find all over and if someone downloads it and realizes you just put your name on something they already have, it isn't a good start to a relationship.

That said, editing the PLR can help keep this from happening.

If you do decide to outsource the report you can put some affiliate links in to try and recoup the money spent or just make the money back through your list. The nice thing about outsourcing your report is your report will be 100% unique and you can make sure it fits better with your website and audience than PLR.

This is awesome thanks everyone for the help...this is why I love this forum.

If we were to outsource and have our own created...what length should we look at...that being what will most likely determine the cost.

Most writers charge buy page or buy word. I would suggest around 3000 words if you want a short report. I know of a few writers that will write for around 2 cents a word, i also know many that will charge 10+ cents per word. There are many writers in the Warriors for Hire section that are very good. (I also write articles and reports.)

I would suggest putting together a brief outline of what you want so the writer knows what you are looking for. Most writers also require you to provide graphics if you would like any included, though some may have stock images they can offer for free.
