Info on online businesses in general

I am looking for information in any form (video, ebook, paper books, etc.) on creating an (online) business. I am not into specifics here on internet marketing. Rather I'd like to learn about the priciples, the fundamentals of starting and running a successful business online.

So, I am not interested in how to set up an auto responder or an adwords campaign, but more like general information that can be applied to any kind of internet business.

For example, I really liked the Warrior Manifesto as it contains basic information on running a successful business. I also enjoyed Reese's videos on his income.com blog that deal with the right mindset and some principles.
This is the stuff I am after.

There are a number of books on online biz on Amazon.com too, but I don't know if they're any good or not.

So if you can recommend me any ebook, real book or video on this kind of general information I'd really appreciate it.

          The principles online are very much the same as offline:

          1. Find a hungry market you can gain easy and economical access to.

          2. Gain intimate knowledge of the PEOPLE in that hungry market. Who are they? What do they want? What problems keep them awake at night? What are they having trouble getting and why? What will they pay for?

          3. Find or create a product or service to sell to that hungry market based on the things they want most desperately and will pay for.

          4. Offer a series of progressively higher priced products and services (your own or someone elses) to the people who buy from you.

          5. Be responsive to your hungry market. Constantly adapt and change as the market and its wants and needs change.

            There are plenty of avenues for business planning, and the fundamentals are the same online as they are offline. Local Government authorities often provide templates and advice on setting up your business.
