$3.96, actually.

And yeah, it sucks but use it as a way to get clients that you can then offer a more comprehensive version of your service and charge more $$$ for it.

If I'm not mistaken, if you withdraw a bigger amount, the Paypal fee decreases.

If you let your available funds accumulate before you withdraw, you get charged once instead of for every withdrawal.

Yeah what I did for my Fiverr was waited until I had over $200 in sales and then cashed out, instead of cashing out $10 every time. Plus they do a holding period before you can even take your money out so you might as well let it all build up.

Every dollar adds up and if your gigs are easy to complete, then I would have no complaints.

On the plus side, you made a sale. There was someone that started a thread saying they had posted five gigs with no success. Also, as I was browsing the forum yesterday, I ran across a post that talked about a site called Gig Bucks (looks and acts nearly identical to Fiverr but offers higher payouts for gigs ($5 - $25). If you post the same gig on there for a higher price, chances are, you will make even more money since your order has already proved that people have interest in it.

I think Fiverr is for kids starting out online, or trying to make a quick buck.

OR---

Wise businessmen looking to upsell their gigs to their full service.

"WOW, I got so much value out of $5 with these guys, what if I signed up for their $100 service!!"

You've got to harness the fact that people will do quite a lot in return for little and ask yourself what you can do with this. This seems like an obvious note, but it's shocking how much potential is in this yet people overlook it.

No offence but your post loses all credibility as soon as you find out you're selling a Fiverr product.

Well done on your first sale! Although Fiverr take a percentage, use their service as a way to access client's which you can then push exclusive offers with that cost more that $5. Alway's over deliver with your products

Fiverr is a good way to get some experience offering services and dealing with clients. But once you get the hang of it, yeah use the Marketplace section.

People working strictly on fiverr often get burnt out and stop delivering quality work. The money isn`t enough to keep them motivated.

For those who are actually selling gigs as opposed to taking advantage of the sellers, quantity is obviously key and the analogy that McDonalds typically shifts a $5 and is a reputable business is a good one.

.....but they have a hefty workforce!

Gigs need to be quick and simple to be profitable.

You need to ask yourself the question how much of your time would $4 buy and then brainstorm ideas which fit into this timeframe.

There are a ton of other sites like fiverr that have different rates of pay, less comission taken by the site different payments tiers etc.
The key, as pointed out earlier in the thread, is to find good reliable service providers on Fiverr, then offer their services yourself on sites that allow you to charge more.
A lot of WSO's are built around this methd, its called arbitrage.

And why are you "shocked"? It's clear to me it's a semi-ripoff with their and paypal's fees. Unless you can provide a service which hardly takes any work and you can repeat-sell it many times/day.

The fee/revenue ratio is just really bad on fiverr.

Get a gig doing something for $100 from an offline business, pay someone on Fiverr $5, bank $95

Oh yeah, and I just saved you money because now you don't have to buy a WSO on Fiverr (since 99% of them say the same things)

The great thing about about fiverr.com is that you should only use it as a lead generation tool, once someone buys a service from you, you then upsell them into the next thing..

Eg: you sell them a logo.. Once they are happy, tell them that you'd be happy to a full header or site design for $XXX

Never use fiverr.com as an income stream, it should be a lose leader for more business!

I use the proceeds from my gigs to support my own Fiverr habit, which is pretty extensive. On occassion I withdraw some money to buy something for my business or for a gift for my kids but most of it goes back into Fiverr.

Yeah, fiverr gives money measly. For me, it's not worth it. The best way to use fiverr is outsource it. Buy cheap from fiverr and sell higher somewhere else. I got several thousands from that method, but only for short term.
