Video Marketing secret to get a TON of views with MASSIVE viral potential in your niche...

This method is something that very few guides cover and that many wsos have glossed over, yet everyone says to submit videos to youtube. How? It's dead simple! Just turn your article into a powerpoint and do a screen capture! It only takes minutes! There's just one problem:

They're really damn boring to watch! Those pretty numbers that we all obsess over are actually PEOPLE, do you think they want to watch a powerpoint or a video?

Spend $250 (save up if you have to) and get a cheap video camera with a wireless mike, then just make 5 minutes videos for your keywords. Your video will rank almost instantly, it'll get views, and probably be shared within your niche. And the best part is... it can be fun! Don't like being in videos?

Go to your local high school to the theater department, you'll have 3 dozen happy volunteers, pay them if you can. $10 an hour doing a video every 10 minutes you're paying less that $2 per video for a live person that your audience can connect with. Try it!

Why would you need to create a power point and a screen capture, when you can use windows movie maker live and do the same thing?

Oh boy, a screen capture of a Power Point! That doesn't sound like very compelling content. I think the idea of trying to find cheap help at your local high school is good, though. I'd think your visitors would respond better to something like that.

The content didn't live up to it's title.

To add value, here's something you can do. Hire some funny video provider in fiverr and let them introduce you or your message.

Then add that introduction to your message.

This way whatever your message is, it will incorporate the element of "fun", "Weird", etc.

At least it will have a chance to get viral.

You could try making a video in a bikini outside in Winter

Of course, it helps when you are in shape and hot enough to melt the snow

Well, the man-kini has been put away for the year... I'm not really hot but I do think that I'm getting a fever. Does that count?

It might not be earth-shattering, but it beats the bejeezus out of yet another droning powerpoint video - or worse yet, one with either boring or stolen background music.

A viral talking head video? Doubtful. Unless you have a gimmick.

For example, I was looking over my wife's shoulder yesterday and one of the headlines on the Yahoo News page declared "Demi Moore tweets topless photo"...Had to click it, of course.

Demi was indeed topless, as you could plainly see from the photo she took in front of a mirror, showing her face, the camera in her hand, and the image of her bare back in the mirror.

Do the same thing with any attractive woman, write a URL on her back, and let her do the two minute voiceover directing people to your site; now you might have something...

In a world where ATTENTION is everything...

People will do anything now-a-days to steal those precious seconds of your life!

That's how you've got to look at it...

    1. Get the attention
    2. Show the viewer what value you'll provide.
    3. Provide the value
    4. Then a call to action!

In many ways - I've seen video is the best way forward and ticks all 4 of the boxes above.

    Hope this helps,

    Colin

You are so close to my mantras about sales copy. No reason they should not go in video. It is all about the message. For me, I stick the viewer's troubles or problems in step 2 and offer the solution in step 3, but we are very close in approach. Good stuff!!!

The first thing I've noticed about the most successful, viral YouTube videos is that they show something UNUSUAL. The second thing I've noticed is that they generally are not sales pitch videos, or have anything to do with selling a product or service.

The homeless guy who used to be a radio announcer (with that fantastic voice) begging for change was a YouTube phenomenon. One of the most watched and shared YouTube videos of all time shows kids pushing Mentos candies into a Coke bottle and watching it explode like a firework. Neither were directly selling anything. The latter may have boosted sales of Mentos and Coke in bottles somewhat as other kids tried to reproduce the experiment, but I don't think that was the intention of the video.

Yeah I definitely think that the viral video idea has to be extremely creative to work.

A video won't go viral unless it's something extremely funny, weird, sexy, etc.

But it definitely won't go viral if there's even a hint of a sales pitch

Here's an idea if I may chime in to get a ton of views:

Link your video to a news story - so if there is some way you can link your video to a current news story you will get more views.

    For instance:

"How To Get Pregnant - You Too Can Be A "Beyonce" At 30!"

OK, that's pretty lame - but you get the idea?

You will get more views, more likes (if the content is good)

Try it with a CPA offer and see how you do?

    All the best,

    Chris Jones

When did I say anything about a talking head video? I said make a REAL video. If your keyword is 'how to make dog food', then make a video showing exactly how to make dog food. No bikinis in winter, no talking heads, no powerpoints. You guys like to talk down to people sometimes, geez.

    -another crap marketing company

EDIT: Viral within the niche! Not viral as in 74 million youtube views. Sorry for the confusion.

So it is useful for business, maybe do a walkthrough. I have readers who love the walkthrough videos I do of various sites. Just tailor that to your niche. Then put on a really cool powerpoint video! By the way, you need the right animation for those and it can be fun to produce.
