Hello guys

I need to hire someone with experience to be my Virtual Assistant and do some SEO tasks. Full-time job.

I need some tips on where to hire good professionals. I believe that one of the best places is Phillipines, but I would like to hear some opinions.
Also, where do you guys go to hire SEO professionals?

Thanks for your tips and advices.

Maybe check out Fiverr, or Odesk?

You could post a thread on this forum under 'wanted - members looking to hire you'

If you're going to hire a VA from the Phillipines you are best to place a job ad on onlinejobs.ph , you'll be able to find a huge range of quality applicants there.

When you are posting your job description make sure that you are extremely specific on the tasks that you want your VA to do for you. If you are vague on what they are going to be doing, the results you get from them will be poor.

I've had some great outsourcers on Odesk.

But be prepared to look- you will probably have to try a few out to find a really good one.

Yeah, you'll find some excellent Filipino VA's however, there are also some rotten tomatoes.

So when hiring always do a test.

Test their patience, attention to details, ability to deliver and most of all their punctuality.

Some other things to take note of is how fast their internet connection speed is.
Is the electricity stable in their area and how often are they affected by rain, storm and floods.

    Good luck!

The only issue is finding a good worker. Remember even if they say they are working full time for you, I can guarantee they will be working full time for another person and another and doing a small amount of work.

I have also found you need to check their work in terms of SEO as they will say they have done meta tags on your pages that took them 2-3 hours, but if you look they have just installed a plugin which generated crap meta tags.

Hiring a VA is a good idea and can save you lots of time to do other more important things in your business. I agree with Owen about making sure you find good workers. Hey,

My SEO assistant was hired from BestJobs.ph, which is very similar to OnlineJobs.ph!

Definitely worth the investment - check out the sites and remember to screen your potential VA's carefully. Don't settle for anything less than what you're looking for!

    Hope this helps,

I know many people that have had good and have also had bad experiences with outsourcing to the phillipines. It is the debate over quality work and price. Just understand that quality always works and you should test the person you are thinking about using before you hire them.

SEO professionals are all over this forum and you can find a good one here.

    Hi Paulo,

It's good to know that you consider Philippines to outsource your manpower needs.
I would suggest to hire SEO Consultant to an outsourcing firm. They have supervisors who manage their staff and all employees hired by a company go through a rigorous screening process and different trainings.

As stated above, always good to test with small projects.

Would you consider two part timers instead of a full time VA? I only say this because the last VA I had started out strong and all of a sudden my work stopped being done. She was (again, as stated above) tending to the work of others. Fine for her, not fine for me.

If I had another VA, I could easily have shifted work to them rather than having everything come to a standstill.
