INTERNET MARKETING

I just got an email from LinkedIn with a $50 advertising credit. I'm going to try it out, anyone have experience with this? Any advice or tips?

I'm thinking about adverting one of my services, or maybe just a squeeze page.

Heard some great things about LinkedIn. Havent tested any ads myself yet, but I know that the demographics of the people on LinkedIn have LOTS of money.

Maybe promoting some high ticket stuff will work great yea?

I spent $220 something testing ads there last two weeks. I works a lot like adwords. I placed 4 ad, each with a different headline, ran those to figure out which headline worked.
Then I ran the winning headline with three different body copy.

I used CPM beacuse their CPC was high. The results were not exactly stellar. It was for a job-search product.

For $50 free, what the heck. Give it a try.

I'd say it's worth it for a freelance style job, but to be honest - the CPC really put me off.

  Not sure on that. It didn't say, maybe only business owners received it? I'm guessing it has something to do the current position you listed.
  
  Anyways thanks for the ideas everyone, some good ideas I'll have to look into. I don't have much experience with CPC or CPM, I've done Google Adwords campaigns but didn't stick around enough to test and make it profitable.
  
  So I have some studying to do here. I'll come back with my results once I get the ads up and running.

We were able to promote a beta test by sending messages to prospected clients, the project was somewhat successful.
