Am I Doing Internet Marketing Correctly?

I have been marketing online for 3 years now, promoting as affiliate and vendor using PLR.

My 1st 2 programs are email processing and work-from-home data entry. It is from my-data-team that I got to know what affiliate marketing is and online marketplaces like Clickbank and Paydotcom. But they called affiliate marketing Global Data Entry.

In my 1st year, I made $1700 just through Google PPC but can only cash out $600 due to PPC charges.

In my 2nd year, I stopped PPC and focused on free methods. Subsequently I subscribed and got to know gurus like Stephen Pierce, Steve Clayton, Mike Fulsaime, Michael Rasmussen, George Brown, Eben Pagan, Anik Singal and our own Ewen Chia and Jaz Lai whom I pay $1997 for his coaching.

I also got to create my products using PLR as well. With that said, here is how I do my marketing:

STEP 1: SELECTING 1-2 FEATURED PRODUCTS FROM CLICKBANK

If you have signed up for Clickbank newsletters, they will email you a few featured and latest products every month. From here, I pick 1-2 featured products.

STEP 2: KEYWORD RESEARCH

The way I do keyword research is exactly the same as George Brown's Google Sniper 2.0. If you have bought this or his 1st Sniper course, you will know what I am talking about.

Basically I am targeting at keywords with Global monthly searches of 2-8K and Google competition/ results of 13K and less. But instead of doing this manually, I am using Matt Bacak's Mass Money Makers keyword research tool called Super Affiliate Technology or SAT.

This software allows me to customize the settings exactly to what George Brown wants and get the keywords I want in hours instead of days or even weeks through manual research.

I target about 20-50 keywords before going to next step.

STEP 3: CREATE ARTICLES, CLASSIFIED ADS, PDF, PRESS RELEASES, SOCIAL BOOKMARKS AND VIDEOS FROM KEYWORDS

Using the list of keywords, I create content for articles, ads, PDF, press releases, social bookmarks and videos.

In terms of content, I initally use the articles from Free PLR Articles by Robert Dickson and PLR Ebook Club. Now I am using Socrates' Killer Content as extra weapon.

For sites, I use Auto Wealth Maker, Blogger, Kompozer and Wordpress.

STEP 4: SIGNING UP FOR AWEBER, COPY/PASTE EMAILS AND OPTIN BOX INTO MY SITE

In contrast to what most gurus say, my sites are mostly reviews with an optin box.

You can check out my sites on How To Save My Marriage From Divorce and Magic Of Making Up.

Usually the emails I copied and pasted from affiliate programs I joined. For optin box, I do not know how to create my own so I also copied and pasted from Aweber.

STEP 5: DRIVING TRAFFIC TO MY SITES

In driving traffic, my methods are still old school.

I don't believe in just putting my sites out there solely on SEO and hope Google will rank asap. Neither do I believe in buying multi backlinks from higher ranked sites. I tried those and they never work for me.

The only backlinks I believe are from article directories, classified ads sites, email marketing, forum posting, press releases, social bookmarkings and video sites like Youtube.

For this, I use another set of software tools like
Article Submission Helper as well as those from Traffic Mania like Adbot, Blogbot, Pressbot and Sony Vegas Movie Maker as my video creation tool.

Contrary to what most gurus, I did not earn $1000 and more per day. The result is more like $20-50 per day average. And I do need to invest money in tools to speed up the process as I am still skeptical about outsourcing.

This is how I did my internet marketing so far.

The only question is: Am I doing correctly?

There is no right way but just from seeing you have a plan, you're on the right track.

Stick to that system and do it till it works, because it will, a lot of people have enjoyed a lot of success with similar models.

Looks like you are heading in the right direction! $20-50 per day is a great start. Now take what you have learned and what has worked for you and build upon that to get more $/day.

Do you offer affiliate products or put adsense on your websites?

I do have my own products which I created from PLR at Building My Affiliate Empire Guide and Video Blogging Cash Guide.

But I intend to make wholesome changes as much of what I teach is outdated. May consider using Wordpress membership templates.

Well done $20 - $50 dollars a day is a great start! Keep on building up that email list and you will gradually make more and more each time you send out an affiliate offer.

You are one of the few people that has followed the gurus advise and are actually making money!

    Hey you say:

"The result is more like $20-50 per day average"

Well you are doing something right...

Once you have made $1 or $100 online the rest is just rinse and repeat and scaling up your efforts.

Thanks. So far I have been promoting digital products from Clickbank and Paydotcom.

May consider promoting physical products from Amazon in my next campaign. At first I opted for Commission Junction. But they want you to generate sales within 1 month. If not, they'll terminate your account without warning which I experienced twice.

You're on the right track. Analyze your entire business. Find the portion that is making the most money for you and focus on building that up. Then in a new market reuse the method that makes the most money. Do that again and again. Avoid distractions from product launches. Instead, spend money you would use on information course on outsourcing.

    You're doing things right=)

Sounds like you have a good grasp of it. Right or wrong is going to be determined by your ultimate end goal for each project, which is usually measured in $$$$. If you hit your target, you did things right, if not, do something different. The only "wrong" way is to do nothing.

Keep plugging away Amuro. Learn from your mistakes and make adjustments. You'll do fine.

Thanks for everyone's tips and feedback.

If I do make a lot of money, I may consider creating my own program. It will consist of training videos and web-based application encompassing all the steps I outlined.

For those who do not know how to create sites, I may include themes from over 40 different categories. From dating, food recipes, internet marketing, pets, self-improvement etc. What you see in Clickbank and other marketplaces are the themes I may provide. Same goes for evergreen best sellers from Amazon.

I forgot to mention 1 more guru's name.

    Jamie Lewis.

At 1st I did not have a good impression of his Copy The Blueprint. But after buying and going through, I liked the steps he laid out and resources he provided.

Same goes for his Wealth In A Box. Did not buy his recent Income Entourage and Income Times Ten as I feel that his 2 courses I have are more than enough.

By the way, please do not speak bad of him as he is a very active Warrior Forum member here.

Good work. You can't grumble at $20 - $50 a day for just starting out.

All the best for the future!

Will it be a good idea if I created a REAL step-by-step guide on how to make money online based on what I posted?

But I have to warn you.

It's NOT going to make you millionaire overnight.

Neither it's going to make you $1000 in a month.

Not if you are a complete newbie who know nothing about internet let alone marketing. As much as I want you to succeed, I do not want to give you false hopes.

I took 3 years to achieve this. But if you put what I teach into action, it will and can change your financial situation in 1 year.

If you are able to replicate your results on several sites then maybe you could.

However, I recommend that you focus your efforts on promoting other products first before creating your own. It's much less complicated.

Creating a product is a way for affiliate marketers to reach the next level in their business. When they are already doing really well from affiliate sales, they start to look around for the next step and that is invariably turning their success into a product and showing others how to achieve the same thing.

    All the best!
