Google Keyword Tool Accurate?

I would just like any of your thoughts on the accuracy of the Google Keyword tool.

I am number 3 for a particular phrase and am receiving no traffic, when I checked on Wordtracker it showed only 3hits/month versus google showing 5400 hits/month... That's more than just a slight discrepancy!

What am I to believe?!??

    Be sure to to use the exact filter versus broad figures. While not 100% accurate, it will give you a better picture

    Google's keyword tool is designed for Adwords advertisers. The counts include the Search Partner Network and possibly Domain Parking.

    pay to get on page 1 in the paid results on the right, that will give you the search data for the keyword

    then you can see if you are really missing the traffic with a poor title or something or if it exists at all
