What do Newbies need in order to reach their goals?

I am asking this question seeking a response from all you newbies out there that are not achieving or working towards your goals. Reason being is that we all make excuses as to why we're not doing what it is that we are supposed to do. I believe though that some people have legitimate issues that need to be addressed.

Right here, right now you can voice your feelings as to why you are not moving toward or achieving your goals. You will hopefully get some answers to your questions but this is going to be a two-edged sword. If you get some constructive feedback that points back to you as the problem or part of it, you need to suck it up and get busy.

We, and I mean the majority of us that have achieved some level of success, are here to help but one of the things that is discouraging is to pour into someone and they don't take consistent action on what it is that they need to do.

I am not preaching but I do have a very strong desire to see people get out of the rut, myself included, and that is what I am speaking from right now. Give us some feedback so we can all grow into consistently successful people.

    1. A self hosted wordpress blog, or website
    2. Their own domain name preferably a good keyword rich one.
    3. Some good product to sell either their own or as an affiliate
    4. Traffic and lots of it. The more targeted it is the better.
    5. Build an email list very important.
    6. Motivation and a burning desire to better your financial well being. If you do not want it bad enough it will not happen. You ever seen Rocky? Good scenario he never gave up even though his opponents were bigger, and stronger than him. He had the eye of the tiger that burning desire to succeed that no - one could ever take from him.

    If your lazy, and unmotivated quit while your ahead. You will not make it in the internet marketing World.

    You need to believe in yourself without any doubts in your mind.

    A friend put me onto this tip:

    Get a Piece of paper and write on it:

    "I can do this"

    Stick it directly above your monitor so when you look at the screen you see the sign as well. You will read it 50+ times a day guaranteed.

    Choose your own slogan, whatever works.

    I did this a while back and I'm not saying its the sole reason for my increased success but I'm damn sure it didn't hurt a bit.

    I know for me it has been information overload that has definitely put a hindrance on my moving forward, not knowing which area to go, what method to put all my effort into, etc.

    I finally figured out that I have got to focus on only one thing, and just take consistent action steps every day, no matter how small. I don't have much free time, but just a small action step every day I know is going to allow me to reach my goals.

    I am not a lazy person, although I must admit I lack a little in the motivation area, I guess because I am at a place in my life right now where I don't really need a lot of cash flow, even though I want it of course. It has just been the lack of knowing which way to go, and the action steps to take to get there that has been setting me back, but now that I know this I am moving forward and taking serious action to reach my goals.

      There was another thread where we talked about information overload and focus. I believe that complacency is a disease and that it should be attacked while you can. Please focus on developing your skills because while cash flow may not be important right now if the issue does arise where you need to create some cash, No only will you be trying to overcome information overload but along with that will be overwhelm of the situation, overwhelm from not know what you can do to make money and the force that causes you to really do nothing even though you must do something. I don't know if that makes sense but this is why people lose their homes, cars, family, real friends, etc.

      When the pressure is on most people seek to find something to make big money quickly but they don't have the skill and/or focus to make it happen in addition to it not being a part of their inner being to produce the results that they need to overcome their situation. This leads to the frozen-like state that we get in and causes us to watch TV or drink or do other things to pass away the time when the rational thing to do would be to make money.

      I've been there many times and have worked hard on my inners to keep away from that rut. I haven't let it take me or my family down but have seen many others that didn't make the decision to stay the course and I watched it eat people I care about from the inside out.

      Watch it and keep on evaluating yourself.

    For me it has been persistence, when you are backed into a corner and need to either make it online or stay in your day job for the rest of your life you really tend to make a good go of it.

    So much so that you surprise yourself with your own potential.

      I don't know. I think Lazer seems like it has more cutting power from the Z than Laser.
