Facebook:Is it possible?

Hello Guys,

I need some right guidance...

I have created a Facebook Fan Page and would want users to like the page before they could see my wall posts. In other words, Only when a user likes the page he should be diverted to the Fan page wall, other wise he should not be able to see the wall posts.

Yes it's possible, Eben Pagan uses this concept for his Fan page but personally I do not like it, you are forcing me to like you, it doesn't even sound right.. if your wall posts are worth it then I'll like your page, otherwise if you force the like when I discover your fan page is not worth it I'll remove my like. Simples. :-)

Yes - install an app on the Facebook page called Static HTML for Facebook Pages.

You create content for the user who HASN'T clicked 'Like', and extra content for those who HAVE clicked like.

You'll need to know some HTML to 'pretty' it up.

    I use this technique
You will want to offer something for free in return for the like.
This way the visitor will still like your page even without seeing your posts.

this is not so difficult since many FB users don't take great caution on what they like.
Just come up with great idea that will attract people and that will be all.
If your subject is not that attractive, send them direct messages requesting them and with the link of your page to make it easy.

  • I know one application the bandpage, but it is a video application. you can set it as your welcome tab and if people don't press the like button they wouldn't be allowed to watch the video

jimmynastic- I somewhat disagree with you on this. People are really clever in what they are doing and if someone has blindly liked your post, its for sure that it might be due to some kind of attraction that caught up their mind and compelled them to do so, but there are less chances that they continue with you in long run.

Dee Odus-Thanks for your opinion. I personally do not believe that by implementing this you are forcing some to like you...it's ultimately users choice whether to like you or not and they are completely independent for taking the decision.

revupcommerce-This is a good idea, but my purpose of doing this is something different.

MattVit - As per I understand, we need to create two different pages. And how do you link them? I doubt if this really works. I'm sorry but I didn't get what exactly you need to say. Can you be little bit more detailed.

Nino Rostomashvili - Thanks for your advice, but I need something different as I already mentioned earlier.

    Hii David,

You can set the creating page as your "profile page".
So the people will land on your creating page
instead of your normal profile page. (i hope that
    answers your question).
