Looking at all the WebHosts on the Internet i wonder which one would give me the most bang for my buck. I have three, Globat, Lunarpages, GoDaddy, can anyone think of any others?

I see many people recommending Bluehost and Host Gator everyday so I would definitely look into those. Personally my pages are hosted at Dreamhost just because they have been for like 10 years and I've had only few problems. But they don't usually get great reviews from other people. |

You didn't say what type of sites you are building, but for basic content sites HostGator would be suitable.

Hostgator for sure. You get lots of domains, unlimited SQL server datatbases, CPanel, Fantastico, incredibly prompt 24 hr support, and a fantastic forum.

Hostgator would be the ONE to go with. Remember you can get the first month's hosting for 1 cent by entering the code 404page.(Conduct a Google search to confirm this) Also their support is simply superb as I've been with GoDaddy as well and their support sucks big time! You can also get Coupon codes for Domain names at hostgator by conducting a simple Google search Bhupinder |

Ditto with most above, Hostgator is the best available hosting service. Price, support, features, uptime are all the best. Just my 2 cents worth. |

| With so many opinions and impressions of a particular web hosting company, it sometimes can be confusing and frustrating. In my opinion, the best way to deal with this situation is to use: 1. Referral: Ask your business acquaintances, friends and family which web hosting provider is used for their respective organizations or if they can otherwise recommend a web hosting provider. 2. Money Back Guarantee: A good and reliable web hosting provider will dare to have a money back guarantee policy for their client. It'll will give more confidence knowing their web hosting provider is not some sort of "back yard" company. 3. Check with a particular web hosting provider (through their "contact us" interface) whether they are able to provide service according to your needs in terms of price, storage space, traffic volume permittable and last but not least is for them to provide a guarantee 24/7/365 support (possible in writting). Hopefully my input can be of help to you. |

| I'd say hostgator I've got a package about 12 gigs in size, costs me about 15$ a month, i've still got lots of space Havent had any problems with it so far and its been a couple of years. I like the web chat on their webpage that offers 24/7 support, that's come in handy more than once. |

Yep, I also go with the majority of the answers. Hostgator is definitely the way to go for the type of sites you're currently building. And they're probably still in the running for the more complicated sites in the future. |

Hi, Another very happy HostGator customer here - they have great support too. I recently upgraded to reseller hosting (so I should be trying to flog SEOSteve's Hosting Services here really!) and they transferred everything across to the new server without a hitch and tech services were on hand to answer all my questions every step of the way. I realized just how good HostGator were when I was recently recommended to join another hosting service (HostMonster) to host a particular script service I had purchased. I spent over 2 days on the phone and swapping emails with HostMonster's tech support trying to get the script running only to discover that they had essentially installed my account on an old server running old software that was not compatible with the software I had bought. I installed the script on my HostGator account and it just worked. Hope this helps in your decision. Cheers, Steve |

Hi I´m going to go against the flow and recommend that you use GDI, (global domains international) since it´s extremely cheap and easy. There is also a very helpful support team that sends step by step instructions to your problems. GDI also offers an affiliate system that honestly makes me thousands every week! I´m using GDI so check out my page if you want, the link is in my signature. Have a great day! Dave |

I heard from bloggers AN Hosting/Midphase are good. I tried Dreamhost but I don't recommend it. Somehow I feel their servers are slow and not stable. |

| Other issues that you must take into consideration are: 1. Budget. 2. Traffic volume. 3. Storage space needed. 4. For business or private use. 5. Level of control and security you'd prefer for your web site. 6. Level of resources allowable by your ISP or HSP to be used. 7. Number of applications or software needed to run your web site. |

Would agree on hostgator for hosting services (if that's what you're after), if you're just after domain names I've had great experiences with godaddy, as they're cheap and very quick to set up as well. Very prompt with customer service as well! Check it out if you can! |

Blue host is same as hostmonster - and hostmonster is cheaper. I have just had experience with lunar as well Depends on your expertise. You can see free samples of cpanels online (I recently discovered) I recommend hostmonster. Cpanel has something called simplescripts where you can install blogs in seconds - faster than fantistico, although they have that option as well. A LOT of other scripts as well that are not as well known but can build some great things. IE joomla one click installs and more. 24 7 real phone support. Lunar is not as reliable with the phone. |

I think it would largely depend on what you are using the service for in the first place. If you were just making up basic landing sales pages and/or thank you opt-in pages, host gator is a great source that has many free tutorials and services available. If you're after a good quick domain name, Godaddy has fast and efficient service, and has an easy to use control panel for customizing your domain!

For me, it will be HostGator and Arvixe webhosting - Shared and Reseller Hosting. I have tried many. Most of them are pretty poor in quality. If you want cheap but reasonable reseller hosting, go for ResellerZoom. Now, I am testing a new company 3ix. Will see how it does. |

I use bluehost and hostgator and i don't have any problems with price up-time or service. It also depends on what kind of site your looking for and your technical know how, there are hosting companies that are niche specific such as go-mama(used mostly for gpt sites they do the setup and transfer of your site or script for free) and so on but for general hosting bluehost and hostgator are solid.
