What is SB and why would someone spam as me?

Hi Warriors!

On one of my Google alerts today I saw a notice in some site called Black H@t world which apparently Chrome can't find now? I looked at the cached version and here's what the message in their forum was:

http://www.tiffanydow.com/images/spam.JPG

So ...

1. What is SB that this person is referring to?

2. Since I know for a fact I'm not spamming or blog commenting or anything, why would someone else be doing that under my name? Is this some grade school type stuff I'm unaware of?

      That would be my guess too.

      Tiff, sounds like someone may just be using the name to leave comments on blogs, and they have it automated.

      There is really not much you can do about it.

    SB is scrapebox. One of the things it can do is mass spam the comments of blogs. I'm not sure why they are using your name. Maybe someone who doesn't like you or something.

    LOL. Apparently someone wants to ruin your reputation. I personally dont think one or two posts mentioning your name will cause you any harm though.

    ScrapeBox is known to be able to spam thousands of blogs so yea people can definitely exploit its capabilities.

    well Tiff,

    Your name is quite well known to speak in the industry, and by using yours, they hope their spam comments dont pull too many attention and gets overlooked by the blog owners which earns a backlink/traffic to their site

        I guess I arrived a long time ago then. I've been getting spam emails spoofed with my email address for over 3 years... lol

    If you paid for any backlinking the person might have used your username when posting backlinks.....dunno.
