Test, test, test!

Wo -aaah.

Have been playing around with Adsense recently on my blog.

I was getting a couple clicks a day for the past year - nothing much. probably was making around $ five bucks a month if that. Never really considered where the blocks were.

I decided to move around my adsense block... last month did 45 bucks, this month so far I've made over $60 with half the month to go.

Unbelievable. Definatly try moving around your blocks if you're Adsense is not working (all i did was swap it's position on the sidebar with the content block above it - a small change by only raising it 300px - but blam - it's increased my earnings 10 fold)

Going to try for at least 10 bucks a day next.

    Yep. Split testing is a wonderful 'thang'.

    I would be interested to know if your visitor count remained the same for the last couple of months.

      Visitor count has gone up from around 800 a day to around 1000 a day (more articles on the site)

    testing is something everyone should do in a business,if adsense is your business then many things you can do,optimize the adsense block placement,color,size etc. Type of sites,niche also play some big role in adsense...

    I had an affiliate text link (insurance offer) that was doing ok, it was in a clear area where it was easy to spot, to the right of the product description, got 10-20 clicks a day. One day decided to move it below the description of the product (about an inch away from the original position) ... and guess what... 100 clicks a day!

    I asked many people (the savvy and the not so savvy) which link location got more clicks, everyone always picked the original location. Go figure that one out!
