Can I Change My Browser To Another Country

I have found that proxies can be a bit slow and cumbersome at times (and filled with advertising and popups etc).

The safe and fast way to do this is to use a VPN (virtual private network). They assign you a local ip to the country of your choice

I have used several of these so I can watch US TV sites on the Internet like hulu.com from within Europe

One of the best for value is called Ace-VPN but there are many others.

The VPN acts like a proxy but is faster and more reliable. It will cost you around $5 - $10 a month but you can connect from VPNs in several different countries.

I type in what is my ip and it shows me the actual town and country that is it supposed to. Google places results come up for that town too. When you do an internet speed test it usually comes up equally as fast as your own internet connection.


If you don't want to go that route then here's a quick and dirty workaround that might work for you.

If you just want to check out the Google ads as seen from a different country then you can do the following.

Do a normal search in Google... go the the URL and add the following characters to the end of the long string of characters
&gl=us

Press enter and it should return the search results as seen from the US.

You can use any country code...
&gl=uk
&gl=de
&gl=jp
&gl=ca
&gl=au
&gl=nz

etc etc.

If there is a Google places listing for your search, for example if you searched for 'restaurants' then it gets a bit weird... the placings listing comes up for your area according to your ip then the adsense and normal search results come up for the country according to the code you entered.
