What is the Best Place to Outsource Graphics?

Hey guys I am just getting started in internet marketing and I wanted to know where the best place would be to outsource graphics for my website? I have used 99 Designs for my logo but say I wanted a cheaper solution for smaller things like optin forms or just basic site layout, where would I find that? Elance, oDesk, guru. Your advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

The first thing I would do is learn to do it yourself. I'm very bad at graphic design but I've learned enough that I know the difference between quality work and something I could do myself.

In other words, even if you aren't planning to do it yourself, by learning the basics you'll have an easier time communicating with people that are going to do the work for you. You'll also know if they're charging a fair price.

Once you have a fundamental understanding, I would look at fiverr for inexpensive stuff.

The trick is to either find people that have good reputations on there or to find people just starting out that are eager to impress you. The former option is safer but finding the people that are just starting to compile their resumes can be beneficial. You may end up getting a great deal and forming a relationship that assures you'll always get quality work from the person you helped crack the ice.

A great strategy I recently heard of went as follows:

      1. Go to 99 designs
      2. Look for the type of work you're after
      3. PM the person directly and tell them you really like what they have done and list their examples.
      4. Tell them that you'd prefer to work with them directly and offer them what you think the project is worth.
      5. Negotiate an offer
      6. Ask them to jump on odesk (Odesk.com) if they don't already have an account so that payment can be guaranteed for them (and you can be sure they deliver a decent product)

This way you ensure you get a good result and *hopefully* for a good price.

May be worth giving this a go

There are some really great designers I've used here on the Warrior Forum in the Warrior for hire section. I've had them create everything from banners to ebook covers to mini sites to flyers for my offline business.

Look for someone with a lot of testimonials and happy customers that's in your price range.

    • If you're just starting out I'm not sure why you'd need custom graphics for an opt-in form. Aweber has a large variety of designs for this purpose that are easily customized -- don't spend money you don't have to.

I love Fiverr and all but it's probably a bit bewildering for a newbie.

I recommend Fiverr also. I've had profressional quality graphics designed for only $5. It would have cost $20+ elsewhere. Check feedback fully of course though before ordering.
