What Is Wrong With These Sites ?

Dear Warrior, first of all thank you for taking the time to read my post.

There is a problem with 2 of my websites I cannot understand. Both websites are in the "women's issues" niche. They are procellix.co and menozacreviews.co Both websites are on page 1 of Google and have a PR 3

I use the Google Global extension to make sure I do appear in all relevant countries for my main keywords. Both sites were created using another (someone else's) money making site as a template. Both sites have been up and running for about 3 months.

I do get high (around 20-30 visitors a day) on each site, which is not bad considering that these are "buyer key-words" that I'm being found for and not just "generic" or "information-browsing" keywords. I also get around 20-30 clicks to the respective Vendors. Yet neither site has ever made a single dime...

I know something MUST be wrong, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. Can someone take a look and offer some advice.
Best Regards and thanks for reading my post.

    Ok - a few thoughts.

Both sites were very slow to load. Who is your host?

On the procellix site the opt-in box appears instantly. I find that a turn off. I don't think anyone will opt-in til they've had time to see what the site is about. Set it to appear after, say, 5 or 6 seconds.

It's odd to have review style sites for a medicinal product. I'd stop that and go over to a more sales type page. I lost the will to read about Menozac. I don't really care that you've read all the available reviews on the internet and are going to summarise them for me, as a consumer I want to know what it DOES.

Finally - I suggest you head over to the copywriting forum for some suggestions on improving the sales text. It has some good points, but they are kind of lost in the background "noise".

I think you need a more obvious call to action.

When I visited the sites, I felt like your main affiliate link to the product needed to stand out more.

I like my ads to jump off of the page leaving the visitor no doubt about how to buy the product.

As obvious as your link is to you. It still blends. Crazy huh? Oh and make sure it stays above the fold in all browser resolutions. It was actually below it in my browser for the Procellix site.

The very first thing your visitor should see is a very simple ad that fits in their screen completely right in or above the main content with an absurdly obvious way to act. The ad should be short and sweet, acknowledge the problem and highlight benefits.

That way, after they browse your site and get bored, they remember exactly where to go and what to do.

Hi Warriors, Thank you for your suggestions, I've completely removed the opt-in box as it really isn't my first purpose anyway. I'll also make the other changes you've suggested. Thank you both very much for the advice. (rosetrees + thebitbotdotcom)

PS. Other Warriors, if you can add anything else I'm not doing correctly please add your advice... I've been doing this for 21 months full time (lost job in Dec.2009) and this is the first time I've ever ranked for anything at all in Google. You can imagine how important this is to a "first time ranker" like me...

    Thank you.

P.S. I use HostGator as my web host.

First off, you should use the thank you button if a warrior has given you helpful advice.

I just posted a similar thread myself... I don't know why my site is converting either.... anyway, lets hope we can get some better numbers.

As for your site... agree with the others, they're a bit slow to load.

I had a quick look, not a bad site... the one thing that I'd suggest is, sort out your header graphic... at the moment it looks like a 468x60 ad banner, which are the worst ad banners on the planet.

Hire a warrior, or head off to fiverr and get someone to do up something better.

Hi thedog, I don't see a "thank you" button here but I'd be happy to press it for anyone who's helped me... no problems there. But to get back to what's happening...

Hi Warriors, I wasn't too sure if I was allowed to post a third party site in the general forum, but here goes...

I've used trilastinsrreviews.com as a template for both my sites because I know Joe (the owner) personally and he has shown me his Share-A-Sale account for Trilastin Sr. His site is making around $200.00 a month. I even had the same theme for a while, and then I thought maybe it was too "hype" for my audience and changed it to something simple...

What I don't get is why his site makes sales and mine doesn't for either product even though the copy is (was) the same. (I've started making changes as you suggested.

Am I overlooking something? PS I use HostGator for hosting.

Found the "Thank You" button.... Cheers (My Bad...)
