Thanks for letting us know about this. This is a great little tool, grab it within the time frame. The site Giveaway of the Day - free licensed software daily. Today: PDFZilla - PDFZilla is a desktop application that quickly and accurately convert PDF files into editable MS Word Documents, Rich Text Documents, ... has had inconsistent offerings in the recent past, so hopefully it's moving in the right direction again.

Really cool to have had software featured on GOTD. I don't mean to hijack the thread, but as a long time giveaway person, I'm wondering how that whole thing works from the developer's perspective. Good Work!

Just my experience with GiveAwayoftheDay...

Very positive! I've snagged some really cool apps over the last year.

Be aware that you MUST download AND install the app before the 24 hour period of the giveaway expires or it will not be free any longer...

Another thing...if you look at most user ratings for any given software they almost always seem to be 50/50 positive to negative or they trash some pretty good software...don't know why or what people expect for FREE!

Sweet, just downloaded, installed and tested - very nice! Think about converting a PDF to images, then putting together a slideshow with the images to create a video.. interesting!

I like the comments on GOTD because even if the offering of the day turns out to be naff, there's almost always someone who'll name in the comments an Open Source application that also does whatever it is that the software should be doing, only more effectively. I find there's a lot of value in the comments of previous offers - if you're looking for a free application to perform a particular task, you can usually find something mentioned in the comments that's just as good as the expired offer was, if not better.

As for the freebie-seeking grumblers, I suspect that some of them don't even take much notice of the software description before downloading - they just download it because it's free, not because it has a use for them. It's hardly surprising then that they moan afterwards that it's useless
