hi warriors,

I got couple of nice domains, one of them is student - discounts . org

I was considering selling it on flippa, should i go ahead and list it ? or should i do some seo ?

anybody with experience how much i can make out of this, according to google keywords a word like student discounts has a high competition.

I have to say I am lazy, i owe the domain for a long time but haven't bothered working on it most likely because i am busy with other things.

Sure sounds like something for the coupon realm.

Ya know one way to identify the use is to see what's up with the .com version, I was surprised to see that it appears to be parked, or one junky design.

You might want to hire someone to do the work...just outsource it and then sell the site. Just a thought.

Before selling on Flippa you should first build a website. A website will squeeze out a lot more cash, and just to make note, Flippa isn't a really domain marketplace. %70 of the sales at Flippa are websites with some content and backlinking.

I think you really got some potential for your domain. I'm looking at my Adwords Tool and the keyword student discounts gets around 350k searches a month. I would go for a coupon script (you can find lots of scripts for as low as $20-30) and many is based on the WordPress platform!

Good domain but Flippa isn't the best place for domains. I'd list it on sedo.com or afternic.com.

    Thank you guys.

I am not sure if coupon script would be attractive. students are more into card discounts.

I would try sedo.com or afternic.com. I think it might help

You'll get more money building it into a site, SEO work and monetize... then selling it on Flippa!

But, if you don't have the time - then just go ahead and try Sedo.com

    It's a good looking domain - lot's of potential I'm sure!

      I totally agree.

If you have time and budget, you should develop the site first or hire someone for that. When it starts build up traffics, the Flippa is your best place to sell it.

But if you don't plan to do so, definitely Sedo.com is your best place to choose.

All the best with your domain!

List it on Flippa and set the reserve price sky-high! This allows you to see how much somebody is willing to bid for the domain after the auction is ended, without you have to sell it to the highest bidder.

The domain on its own is just a piece of real estate. If you really want to make money with your domain you'll need to add value to it. One way to adding value to your website is building a website with some reasonable content and some backlinks. It's not an expensive thing to do. If you're not technically gifted you can outsource it for cheap! You can even have it done for just a fiverr - got the hint?

Just listing the domain for selling on Flippa may not fetch you a good price. You should really consider populating your domain/website with users and a basic level of SEO before you go ahead and look to sell it for maximum benefits.
