Client says my website is suspended, but I don't see it.

I recently sent out an email to a few of my clients. One reported though that my website has been suspended. It's just fine on my end, and no sign of any trouble in my hosting account.

Any suggestions on what may be the problem here?

I don't want to post my link in here as it's to a salespage, but I can PM it to you if anyone is interested in checking it for me. I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Derek

You should ask the client to try to access the site via proxy.

      http://www.proxify.net

If the site works through a proxy it's down to an IP block.

If this is the case contact your hosting company with the IP to unblock. This is usually what happens after several failed login attempts to email or FTP.

        Thanks.

It's this side of the business I'm still unfamiliar with. So, if the site does work through a proxy, I should have my hosting account unblock my clients IP? If this is the case, how likely is it than a number of my other clients are also seeing the same suspended account page, just not telling me.

        What steps should I take?

        Thanks again,

I'm not sure what you're saying. Could you try again?

For what it's worth though, attached is a screenshot my client sent me. He's the only one I've found who has had any issues.

its probably an ip block for some reason. some hosts block stuff if there are too many attempts to access sites in a short period of time from a certain ip. so maybe the client had spyware or something like that on their cpu that was doing some fishy stuff.

also, i assume you have not changed your dns in the last 24 hours or so. i think it can take up to 72 hours to fully propagate throughout the internet. although its usually much faster than that.

No, there has been no change to my DNS. It seems for whatever reason to be completely on his end. I just got nervous because I had just sent out a large broadcast.

Thanks for checking all. I do appreciate it.
