Are you getting opt ins but not able to make any money?

I have been using a little trick for my opt in form from aweber.
I have a site the generates 300 -400 opt ins per month.
The problem is this list has not performed all that well for me.
It has 15k subscribers and I typically get 500-700 opens when I send an email.
However I rarely make any sales.
So I set up my opt in form to redirect to a email submit offer for an ipad.
I get 1.30 per email submit works out to .10-.15 for every opt in.
I know its not a lot of money but its better than nothing. Pays for dinner once a month
I would only use this tactic if your list does not perform well as it is not a great first impression.

    I’m basically only promoting my own products to my lists because I’m afraid of promoting products that I don’t know.

    I have to be careful with my subscribers, my topic is serious.

    Internet marketing is a wonderful niche that gives you many alternatives. Other niches are quite complicated. You have to follow many rules, depending on your field. If I was an internet marketer I would simply imitate your example. It's a good idea.
