I just posted a gig and it's already got over 80 views in 4 minutes...not 1 sale yet I used a pic and a decent description, any advice on how to get converts? My first gig I posted hours ago only got 7 views and no sale.

Sell cheaper and provide more compared to all the other service providers providing the same thing.

But after a while you would find that it is not worth the trouble...

when you need the money it is! Dang I got 0 sells, sigh, i'm thinking I should delete this gig in a little bit and repost with slightly different information, what's your thoughts and is that the best approach? Versus simply editing the existing.

      • Why delete it? Just post a modified version as a new gig.

No, but there are a 101 ways to offer more value for the same price.

cashtree, you had your gig a live only for 4 minuets and wondering why it doesn't sell ?

fiverr is not a magic box, give it time, it may take you a 1000 view before making a sale, unless your gig is irresistible.

just figured that was a lot since my other only got 14, we're at 88 now and it seems to of stopped increasing, sigh, I was hoping this was a few sales a day kinda setup, not let a gig sit for months, have to promote everywhere and hope to get sales maybe a year later.

Just offer a good gig that people want to use. Advertising, Social Networking is the most popular and people love those. Create a catchy title and picture. Wait for a few days and see if you get hits. If not , then edit the title/description/picture and try again. Keep posting new gigs until you find out what works for you.

I posted one just last night, woke up this morning and had 10 purchases on 1 gig. You can do it too!

It might take some time before you make first sale. After you get more positive feedback it should be easier to make more sales. Keep posting new gigs, try with different titles, change tags, description, etc. Also adding a video to your gigs will help.

It's a bit of a "Catch-22" but sales will start coming in on a more regular basis once you have some feedback. Of course, you can't get feedback unless you make sales!

If you get really frustrated, pay a friend or family member to buy your gig so you can get that first positive feedback under your belt. In the end, you are only out a buck.

Essential advice, especially add a video - converts far higher than a pic. Don't have a video & don't know how? Get someone on Fiverr to make one for you.

bretski is right too. "If you get really frustrated, pay a friend or family member to buy your gig so you can get that first positive feedback under your belt. In the end, you are only out a buck." Do this now... a gig with at least one sale & feedback will convert far more easily. Think how many products you might not be tempted to buy without a testimonial.

Do them both then come back with your results, would love to hear them. And good luck with your gigs.

You're really gonna flip when you find out how long it takes to withdraw your money.

Is the suspense killing you? I'll just tell you It takes 2 weeks after the order is marked complete before you can withdraw the money to your PayPal account. Yep. You read that right.

My advice: Take IM seriously like you would with a full-time job anywhere else, but treat Fiverr as a hobby.

Look, in order to make a sale, you should offer something unique! This is the most important thing. If you just do anything like "I will make 20 backlinks to your webpage for 1 day for $5.00" won't help you ... Just think and do anything special!!!

Could you post a link to your fiverr profile?

If you truly think that having no feedback is the reason why nobody is ordering, I'll order one and leave feedback if you have anything I might need/want done.

also @ onegoodman, you're exactly right. I've only seen ONE gig literally blow up with sales immediately after it was posted. And that was from GreenLambo. Hell, I even bought one from him myself! LOL that led to some awesome Facebook trolling

I should disagree with you. Having no comments won't make visitors buy from you. They will buy if they need!

Yes, but they are more likely to give you and your services a chance, if at least ONE person has left a review of a positive experience with you.

Heres a screen shot of my current fiverr stats. It IS possible to make a good bit of money on the side, if you don't need the $ instantly.

I had my gigs posted for almost 2 months before I got my first order. Once they left a review, my sales skyrocketed.

So I do believe that the feedback has something to do with it. IT SHOULDNT but it does.

People just arent willing to risk something as small as 5 dollars without some sort of proof that they will get quality work.. But then once someone else does, they are all of a sudden willing to try you out for themselves.. Its hilarious to me

But yeah, like I said if you post a link to your fiverr profile I will check out your gigs and see if you have something I'm interested in, just to get you some feedback and try to get you some sales.

I have posted giggs on fiverr too. It takes time to get sales if all you do is set your gig up. Do some more promotion on facebook, warrior forum, twitter and mention it in your news letter to your list if you have one.

Also focus on the more popular requests people are looking for. You will get higher convertions
