eBay Classifed Ads - Success Or Failure?

Have people found eBay Classifed Ads to be of use in Internet Marketing?

I have had some good results with these in terms of page views and sales recently, again the trick seems to be in getting the right keywords in your title.

Juist wondering though if its a sustainable long term way of making sales and generating leads.

It's been about a year and a half since I've used ebay classifieds. I did have some pretty good results back then. The classified listings used to rank pretty well in the search engines if you chose good keywords.

I would be interested to hear feedback from others with more recent results. I've taken almost all of my stuff off of Ebay recently but would still consider their classifieds.

I may just have to test it out myself.

I've also had success with eBay adds, and continue to use them.

My Ebay classified ads work well in niches outside of the "how to make money" niche.

It's a good risk at only $10 per month per ad!

There are people with dozens of ads all making at least $75+ per month.

Yep, eBay classifieds are certainly very good value at just $10 a month, you usally get a minimum of 100-200 page views and usually much more, as for a similar number of page clicks on Adwords would set you back at least 10 times more

Hi, I use Classifieds in the UK, USA and Australian market. If you leave them up they get highly indexed and you can use them to help index other web sites. You can do that using pictures. You should also use the blogs and your About Me pages.

I also used it to sell my car and that worked really well.

      used it last month.

      It did not work.

Out of 30 million members only 2 visited and nobody purchased.

Extremely little chance of success because Ebay's brutal policy of no feedback for classified ads.

I have good success in selling ebooks at a discount rate very easily.
But I notice a lot of other people do as well.

How do you get up there in rank for more to view?
        Is it pricing?
One post indicated it is in the keywords within the title.

        Just curious.
        Thanks

Only 2 visitors is very unusual. Sounds like you had your title all wrong and people couldn't find your ad. Make sure you use searched for keywords in your titles. Keywords such as 'lose weight' or 'make money' or whatever the niche is. Check eBay pulse for good keywords.

One of the major mistakes most people make is to just add the name of the affiliate product in their title and expect lots of views. Unless the product is a well known one with lots of interest it won't get searched for directly on eBay.

So use keywords and benefits in your title .. Not the affiliate product name and you'll do much better.

Quick Tip: Right now people are starting to search for "Valentines Day" on eBay so dating or romance products will do well now for the next month.

I don't use them for sales, but for getting subscribers.

The power of ebay is amazing, it works. Buyers are hanging there, so I am.

I've been meaning to try the Ebay classified ads for over a year now but never got around to it. I wonder what niches would do well there...
