Newbie question - how do i "give thanks" ??

where am i missing seeing a button to "give thanks" to a person ?

i see people are given thanks for their help, and i'd like to do that, too

    It's just right under their post where you see the 4 buttons on the bottom right corner that says "quote" "multiquote" "quick reply" and "Thanks"

    You must have a certain number of posts, first. I was told 5 posts, so you should see the button now. Try refreshing your browser.

    You can see the "thanks" sign on the lower right part of every posts. But you can send this particular person maybe a PM so you could personally sent him/her your appreciation. I mostly do send PM to which I gave my appreciation to all the people who had helped me and aided me to what I was trying to learn in the IM business.

      Not really - PM privileges are not available until your post count is high enough. The OP still has a ways to go before he/she can do that.

      That is certainly a very nice gesture! However you should also give those helpful users a click of the Thanks button as well for their efforts. If that user eventually runs a WSO one of the things prospective customers may look at is the users Thanks count.
