Weird Amazon Stats

Hi - has anyone else had any weirdness with their Amazon stats today?

I logged in earlier to look at yesterdays sales and the mumber of clicks was only about 10% of what it normally is. Although I don't get a huge number of clicks it has been consistent for some time. This was the case for all of my sites too, not just one of them. Funny thing is that sales were about normal.

Can't help being a bit concerned - anyone else had this happen or know what might have caused it?

    Are your referring sites still ok? This is the first thing I look at whenever my stats show something funny. Your hosting could have been down, your websites may have dropped in rankings or even worse, have sites down.

    I know all about this as this is exactly how I was alerted in the past to finding my Amazon sites being hacked

    Check your own sites, links etc ... If they are ok then I would doubt Amazon being wrong.

    Hi Chris,

    I have checked my sites and they seem fine - still in the same place ranking wise and Awstats shows yesterdays traffic being normal.

    As well as my sites I have a few Hubpages and always have clicks from them - but yesterday it was zero from both the Amazon modules and links of my own which I track seperately.

    It all seems very odd.....I just hope its a glitch of some sort.

    I noticed a lower number of clicks today also, but not as little as 10%. I only had 66 clicks, but usually have over 100 clicks.

      I had a lower amount of clicks than usual but my conversion rate was much higher than normal (12%)

      Other than that everything is as normal as can be.

    Have just had a look at the conversion rate for my main site yesterday and it was over 42%. ( wish I could get that on a normal day!) Sales were normal even though clicks were down massively.

    Yes - very strange. My unique visitors and my clicks are down 40-50%. My sites are just fine and the drop is across tracking IDs. My sales, however, were up which really overinflated my conversion rate. I remember this happening another time in the past year but can't find the data in my notes.

    My clicks were approx. 60% lower yesterday than normal despite traffic being slightly higher.

    Hopefully only temporary.

      Yeah, I noticed that my clicks were down quite a bit today too even though my traffic was nearly at the same level as it normally is. I'm sure it is just a fluke, but we'll see after the next couple of days.
