Do People Actually Click On Adsense Banners?

Just wondering what the average CTR is for Adsense banners?

I have heard that it is about $1.00 for every 100 unique visitors.

Also, what techniques does anyone recommend in order to increase the actual ads, such as making it more tailored to your site and not the persons stored cookies.

    Yeah people do, If there are offers to the niche of the website people do. You need high volumes of traffic though to see good money coming through.

    Yeah thats what I figured. A friend of mine has a site that gets about 100,000 visitors a day, so we estimated that he makes about $100 a day in adsense clicks... but it seems like in order to get those clicks you have to be tricky about your adsense placements. Such as placing text links where the menu should be, or adsense banners that just say "download".

    Nice website by the way, I like the write up for Steroids. I have some material on Acid Reflux Disease treatments if you want. I have been suffering with that pleasant disease for a few years now...

      Thanks, not alot of awareness on steroids so I thought id try and do as much as possible. Arr nasty. Its okay thanks for the offer though!

    From what I read on here, put them in view so people can see them. No point having them at the bottom, Have them on the top of posts next to the title, middle of the post, or have them as text links. Got to remember their is also ads on mobiles and videos too if you go into that market. I currently don't use adsense because I don't generate much traffic as of yet my site is new but once I do I will use it.

    Yes, people do click, if they are not clicking then adsense would have been closed till now.

    According to my personal experience most of the people dont think if its an ad or not, they only click on things which they seem interesting to them.

    Click rate also depends on ad placement and most likely ad graphics it self.
