categories problem

hey guys ive woothemes and i have too much categories which messed up my main sidebar, i tried 3 plugins including advanced category excluder but no results, i tried excluding from main page, any help

    You can download a plugin and it will let you do that. Otherwise if you are familiar with php you can edit the theme file and get it done.

    i did install a few plugins but it wont remove from homepage and i dont have enough php skills for that

    I am having problems understanding your issue.

    First you said, you have too many categories - I get that; its a mistake that many people do who don't understand the role of categories. (They make a new category for almost every posts...)

    Next, you mentioned your sidebar being messed up.

    Then you talked about trying to exclude categories from the main page - which means you want to exclude certain posts from being shown on the main page.

    For me these are 3 different, although related, issues.
