I've got a new blog up after tearing down my last one. What should be my next steps?

Press release, onlywire, article submissions? You all give me some advice on getting the site indexed and then get some traffic coming in. Thanks!

The best way to get a new site indexed is to visit a high traffic blog in your niche and leave a good comment on it.Then I would concentrate on building a few links per day and submit a few articles to article directories like EzineArticles.com and GoArticles.com, you will get a few strong links back quickly from those.

Another super fast way to get indexed is to hire a warrior (or go to fiverr) and have someone submit your site to around 100 social bookmarking sites. The correct way to do it is to have the person you hire spread it out at 5 bookmarks a day over 20 days. That way it looks natural to the search engines.

Multi-tasking is just half-assing a bunch of stuff at the same time!!

thanks guys. OK, since I have read your reply's I have posted comments in some high traffic blogs and am searching out forums. The articles that I have posted on my site, should I submit those to the article directories or should I spin and then submit. The link I place in the articles, should they point back to the original article or to a capture page?

Spin and submit! Spin manually if possible, unless you can somehow find a spinner that won't give you utter crap for an article (I've never found a free spinner that gave me anything worthwhile - I'd rather hand spin my articles in half the time it takes to edit a machine spun article)

also when you're link building you should always favor regular links over 'nofollow' links, with the purpose of the latter only being clickthrough traffic or making your link campaign look more natural.

more (quality) backlinks = more search engine traffic
