Whats your lowest keyword monthly searches?

So I decided to take on a new task. Creating multiple sites on lowly searched keywords, with low competition. Then added an affiliate link, CPA lead, or some other form of monitization to the website for revenue. My number of searches is around 100 a month. What do you guys think about that? Any suggestions would be great. But back to the main point of this article, whats your lowest monthly searches to create a sub-niche website?

I certainly would not go to the trouble of setting up a niche website for an overall total keyword search of just 100 per month. But, if I could find 4 or 5 closely related keywords, each returning 100 searches a month, with low competition to boot, that would certainly be worth going for.

    Some questions for you:

    1. How many keywords are you targeting?

    2. What kind of keyword research are you doing to see if the keywords you're focusing on are even profitable?

    3. Are you using keyword research tools or doing this manually?

If you are targeting a large number of keywords for the same page then you cannot expect to see results for your site ranking for all of them. Make sure the keywords that you have finalized are those which attract a large number of visitors and will bring visitors to your site. Then it would be worth the effort.

For me it depends upon the product.

If it's something that is going to sell a lot or has a high price (so you can still earn well from a single sale) I don't mind a lower number of searches, but I wouldn't go below 1000 broad or about 600 exact.

It really does depend on the niche and how I feel it will perform. Sometimes it's worth going for the lower searches because you can use those sites to then boost your main niche sites higher with highly relevant links

    All the best

I personally search for keywords that have a minimum of 2k exact local searches. You want to give yourself plenty of chances to make that sale with the organic traffic.
