How to Market through fourms?

I have a website that helps other websites improve their rankings with the new changes to how Google rank sites (Panda update). I have asked people how I should market this since Google wont let me use PPC Adwords for the term "Google +1's". I have had a few people suggest marketing it through marketing forums.

So my question is how do market though forums? I am new at this so any advice would be helpful, and yes its funny that I am coming to a marketing forum asking to to market in a forum lol. Thanks!

    Depends what niche you're in but I find many forums that are of quality will be well moderated.

    You should start off by providing valuable content and genuine replies to help people out. As you develop a profile there and a reputation people will start to recognize your username and signature (to whatever site you're promoting)

    After a while, you may be able to link to some of your content/posts (if they are relevant) but only after you've given your fair share to the community in the first place. Moderators can see this by checking your post history of just recognizing your name.

    Well, you've just plugged your product in one of the busiest forums on this site 'so' you've kind of just answered you're own question.

    Signature links are a great way to create exposure to your products. Prepare them well but then you need to contribute to the forum. Get involved in some threads by sharing your knowledge and experiences. Don't spam but rather offer value... Or an opinion that others 'may' benefit from.

    Also, get involved in threads that are in line with your niche. This will draw more people to your signature links in a natural and not forced. Then of course you can go down the WSO route.

    One way to do it and to get exposure....and do it carefully because the mods may consider it a self promotional effort to just draw attention to your signature (it's a dam old trick after all) but what you could do is add something like the following to your sig then go onto one of the forums and ask how to use forums for marketing....

    You've seen the two basic ways to market through fourms. They work equally well on forums. (Old wombat bite throbs...)

    > Create a signature file with a good offer, set it up, and forget it's there. Participate in the forum, adding value where you can without trying to force a promotion (like you apparently tried to do here).

    > Advertise in forum sections where this is allowed/encouraged. Pay as required.

    Do not try to pass the latter off as the former. Even if you sneak it past the mods for awhile, it's pretty transparent. No one likes to be treated as if they're stupid...

    forum marketing is also a wonderful way to promote the website and get much more exposure.But pay attention to post more useful words to the people who need in the forum.and follow the forum rules to post.with the signature to your products or site will imrpove your SERP and site authority a lot.

    Forum marketing has many sides. You can indirectly sell something through a forum post. You can make your readers curious about you and your solutions by giving them a few useful lessons in a post. Many of them will privately contact you, and perhaps buy your products.

    Forum posting is also a good way for finding potential JV partners.

    There is a lot to effective forum marketing, but the main things you need to know are you need to join the community and gain trust. Give good advise and post often.

    Ok, now I've never plugged my own stuff before but considering it's an entire course on Forum Marketing and it's only $4, I thought you might be interested.
