I know that there are a lot out there, but
what is your favorite our best one that
will hopefully head me on the right track?

    List building is not a difficult thing to understand. Just remember, everybody start out with 0 people on their list, and there is really no secret to building it huge. If you are intent on buying a product, I really respect Ryan Deiss and he has one called http://ultimatelistbuildingsystem.com

    It's very expensive though...

    Check out Tellman Knudsen. List Building - Internet Marketing - Tellman Knudson He has a high response/open rate and knows the list niche. I personally don't care for the guru hype and upsells from his courses, but if you can pick up a small product from him and put your BS filters to work, you will learn quite a bit about lists.
