How Many Opt-In's Is a Lot?

Hey warriors,

I'm currently getting an average of 10-12 opt-ins per day. I'm sure most of the big dogs get a lot more, so it got me thinking. How many opt-in's per day is considered a lot?

Also, can you claim the amount of people opting-in per day as part of the net worth of your site if you were to sell it?

I think part of the answer depends on how much you are investing to get those and then how responsive the list once you have it. 300 a month added to a good list can make you a killing if you farm it right.

10-12 optins a day is good if you were initially getting just 2-3 a day.

I'm pretty sure he meant 2-3 opt ins a day.

I am pretty happy with 20 a day on a consistant basis, I have a very good relationship with my list.

If I decide to do a promotion for an affiliate, I have got up to 70 sales in a day before.

I get about 15-25 double opt-ins per day, all for free, and I think this is pretty bad... I'd say 50 a day is OKAY... probably 100+/day is a LOT... but it's all relative, those are the numbers I consider little/okay/a lot, other have their own numbers

It all depends on what they're opting in for and what market. For example, if you're getting 10-12 opt-ins for more information on a $5,000 real estate investing seminar, it's a lot different than 10-12 opt-ins for free recipes.

You can't really put a number on what "a lot" is because it's all relative.

The amount of people opting in per day is a consideration when selling your site but not nearly as important as cash flow. If you can show a steady number of daily subscribers which produces a certain amount of income, it can help the buyer feel more comfortable that that revenue stream will continue. Consistency is a very important factor when selling a site.

Agree with Ron. If you present a lot of information
on the front about a high-ticket product and they
STILL opt-in I would say that's a list of people who
are more valuable than a list 10X the size composed
of people who want something for nothing.

2800 a day is my goal. From my stats this is easily within reach by 2010 using free methods.

With PPC you can reach stoopid figures like 4000+ daily in about a week with the right training (not from me I'm useless).

200 a day is a goldmine to some whilst petty to others. Also.. the niche determines what is a good amount, for example 20 highly targeted pre sold real-estate leads is a fortune in the right hands.
